You may have to personalise them yourself? I found the BMW i8 though.

Any link you could help me with? I'm sure some home made plates can be made so that's not my primary concern now.

Bingo. Thanks Rich

Edit went on a bit of shopping spree and purchased the i8, R8 V8, DB9 Coup and RR Vogue! I can see this getting addictive!

Got this on Wednesday - there were only 4 left in the shop at work and 4 of us went over and got one each. It is one of only 702 white ones made. They also made 804 red ones, and another 1200 Motorsport versions that come with the Motorsport edition of the Commodore.

How do you go about modifying these Eddie? It's something I'd be quite interested in doing.

What I do is carefully dismantle the model and remove the axles. I then simply apply Dum Dum (a bit like blue tack but much more sticky ) to the wheels and tuck them up into the arches. By doing this it means I can adjust the camber and pose the steering. Also it means everything is reversible so I can return model to original.

Just bought this lovely Kyosho Urraco, the plan is to build a diorama for it with enough space for some more Lambo models, including the Espada and Miura. The backdrop will be a section of the Lamborghini factory wall as it looked in the '70s (ie: the bit between the two main buildings with the large blue doors, often seen in lots of period shots of Bob Wallace getting ready for a test run), then the whole lot will go into a glass case...

Looks good, I always fancied an AA Espada, but not enough to spend the money smile

When I was a teenager, someone local to us used one as their regular transport. Bearing in mind this was the mid-late '70s, it was quite a sight next to the Cortinas, Vivas and the like! biggrin

It does and it's a lovely thing to behold, the trouble is it's making me want a real Urraco all the more! Used to see several dashing looking exotics around Hammersmith and Kensington as a nipper, I don't recall seeing any Urracos but do remember a pair of Espadas knocking about quite regularly, one was white with beige leather, the other if memory serves was light metallic blue with a red interior, both were quite an eyeful. I think there's an Autoart Espada on ebay at the moment, somewhere around the £200 mark..! I bought the Urraco on Amazon, hoping to sneak it into the house amongst some badly dubbed '70s Italian crime flick dvds, alas it was 'noticed' at the last hurdle... hehe. To give her her due though, being an artistic type she's offered to make me some 'Provo' number plates to go on the model.

Would love Autoart or Kyosho to do a 1/18th Jarama and Islero...

(ETA ; at the NEC show last year there was a dark brown M reg'd Espada on display, the owners use it as their daily transport)

The diorama will be a hell of a project at 1:18 scale. I've got the AA Urraco and Espada and they are very nice models. Have never compared the Kyosho to the AA but on other models I have, there may be a slight vote for the Kyosho quality, but not by much. Good luck with the diorama and do post pics.

Cheers - the construction will be pretty simple, just two slabs of MDF making up the base with the wall screwed to it at 90 degrees along the rear edge (with a hole cut into it for the large blue door), painted and weathered as per the yellow Jalpa pic. The blue and white sign on the factory wall is already sorted, I found a good 'square on' shot of it in an old Lambo book which I'll scan and print off. Will post pics when I get going with it.
