How do you go about modifying these Eddie? It's something I'd be quite interested in doing.
What I do is carefully dismantle the model and remove the axles. I then simply apply Dum Dum (a bit like blue tack but much more sticky ) to the wheels and tuck them up into the arches. By doing this it means I can adjust the camber and pose the steering. Also it means everything is reversible so I can return model to original. Just bought this lovely Kyosho Urraco, the plan is to build a diorama for it with enough space for some more Lambo models, including the Espada and Miura. The backdrop will be a section of the Lamborghini factory wall as it looked in the '70s (ie: the bit between the two main buildings with the large blue doors, often seen in lots of period shots of Bob Wallace getting ready for a test run), then the whole lot will go into a glass case...

Looks good, I always fancied an AA Espada, but not enough to spend the money
When I was a teenager, someone local to us used one as their regular transport. Bearing in mind this was the mid-late '70s, it was quite a sight next to the Cortinas, Vivas and the like!

It does and it's a lovely thing to behold, the trouble is it's making me want a real Urraco all the more! Used to see several dashing looking exotics around Hammersmith and Kensington as a nipper, I don't recall seeing any Urracos but do remember a pair of Espadas knocking about quite regularly, one was white with beige leather, the other if memory serves was light metallic blue with a red interior, both were quite an eyeful. I think there's an Autoart Espada on ebay at the moment, somewhere around the £200 mark..! I bought the Urraco on Amazon, hoping to sneak it into the house amongst some badly dubbed '70s Italian crime flick dvds, alas it was 'noticed' at the last hurdle... . To give her her due though, being an artistic type she's offered to make me some 'Provo' number plates to go on the model. When I was a teenager, someone local to us used one as their regular transport. Would love Autoart or Kyosho to do a 1/18th Jarama and Islero...
(ETA ; at the NEC show last year there was a dark brown M reg'd Espada on display, the owners use it as their daily transport)

The diorama will be a hell of a project at 1:18 scale. I've got the AA Urraco and Espada and they are very nice models. Have never compared the Kyosho to the AA but on other models I have, there may be a slight vote for the Kyosho quality, but not by much. Good luck with the diorama and do post pics.SAB888 said:
