Muddle238 love what you are doing. You should post that and the progress of it in MCWS thread. He started it for people to share there mods. Cant wait to see your finished work.

Guiddy great models. If those were mine I would never part with them. Love the classic stuff but they are really expensive. I have my eye on Maserati 250 F. Reasonably priced. Got to set a budget since my eye is bigger than my wallet lol. I'm not into this hobby as an investment though. If they appreciate over the years so be it. If not I'm fine. Some of them I can't imagine parting with even for reasonably big money if they appreciated.

I'd love to have the same view but there is no way I could spend this sort of money if they didn't hold their value! Sometimes I have to sell them when the pocket gets stretched but at least I enjoyed them for a while!
Plus it's a way so many have passed through my hands over the years, must be hundreds now.

The current collection is only around 14 models:

CMC Fiat Bartoletti Ferrari Transporter
CMC Ferrari 250 GTO Le Mans #19
CMC Ferrari 250 GT SWB Passo Corto
CMC Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa Pontoon Fender
CMC Ferrari 250 GT California Spider
CMC Ferrari 500 F2
CMC Maserati 300S Le Mans #1
CMC Maserati 300S Engine in showcase
CMC Aston Martin DB4 Zagato
CMC Bugatti Type 57 R.B. Pope
CMC Mercedes W154 T Car #12
Kyosho Ferrari F40 Street
Kyosho Ferrari F40 Light Weight
BBR LaFerrari Open Engine Cover

No worries Guiddy. I wasn't passing judgement at all. My appologies if it came off that way. I was just stating my feeling on if I owned some killer models. If the "need" arises I think most of us would consider selling depending on what for. That is a killer collection you have there. Do you have a thread with pics of all of them?

Another CMC on the way to me, a type C auto union v16 hillclimb version. The engine detail on this is a work of art.

None taken at all! I wish some had never left my ownership for sure!
I'll see if I can organise a pic where they all fit in! That would be nice! Watch this space!

It turned up today. I was going to save it and open it along with the Ferrari gto I'm getting for my birthday but couldn't resist. This is the first CMC I have seen up close and they are as impressive as people say, like miniaturised versions of the real thing. I spent about an hour taking in the details which is something I've never done with a diecast before.

I'll keep this going with some images of the latest arrival!
One for the Brits, the Aston Martin DB4 Zagato in a very Italian looking red!

Based on a real car but with perhaps slight detail changes it's a model with a lovely looking engine. I'd have bought it in a different colour if I wasn't collecting a full red theme. Only 20 of the real cars were actually constructed by the factory, though extra sanctioned cars and replicas have been built since.
Only 1000 of these models will be made, each numbered.

Enjoy...

I read that there were some criticisms of this model but that looks excellent, especially in red.

From the B-pillar back, I'd have almost said that's a 250 SWB.

It does look very Italian when put in with the latin beauties!
Zagato certainly influenced by the Ferraris, but then the 250 GTO has strong influence from the Aston Martin 212! It was the era they'd see something worked and copied it.

Nice collection. I finally get my cmc 250 gto tomorrow and can't wait. It's probably the most I will ever spend on a model.

I have also bought up a few lower end cars. Some new old stock ut McLaren f1s which are actually not bad at all. Also have a few maisto le mans cars on the way. Not expecting too much from them but their le mans models look quite reasonable in photos.

Make sure you check it well as some have been put together a bit shoddily. I had to send one back as the rear window was a poor fit and the paint finish was riddled with ridges. Not happy when you spend this kind of money. The #19 car above is perfect though!

All looks fine, a flawless finish. I thought the auto union was good but this is on another level. I read there was criticism by some on the shape as the chassis it's based on was repaired at the front but it's unmistakably a GTO.

A couple of ut McLaren's have also arrived. These are new old stock.

I didn't expect much from this maisto BMW LMR but it's actually very good.

Anybody know if it is only Exoto who make a 1:18 Jaguar XJR9 LM (the "silk cut Jag")? I've been after one for ages, but am stalling a bit on spending £3-400 on the Exoto one...
