Are you looking for something built from scratch, or someone that will take an existing model and modify it?

My Dad has just found a load of 1/18 models in his loft that I bought around 30 years ago, from brands such as Autoart, Maisto and Burago. All still with their original boxes - I'll try and get some photos up in the next couple of days once I've gone through the large boxes he's dumped, sorry brought round to my house..

You have good taste. I have the same Burns Subaru biggrin

I had a Autoart Makinen Lancer. Was the Monte car iirc, I sold it 10years ago. Hence I HAD to buy the IXO Lancer WRC a while ago.

Had the 2001 Focus. It was a McRae car from 2000 so the Telefonica livery. Sold that. Seems no one makes the Focus in 1/18 these days. Must be a licencing issue.

Also had couple of UT Escort Cosworths. Again sold for peanuts years ago. Seeing yours means I might have to rectify that with an IXO of Sainz or Kankkunen in the Escort WRC

My grandson who is 14 years old has seen my 1;18 diecast collection and wants to start his own collection.

The prices for new are mostly well beyond his pocket money.

So does anyone know of web sites or places that sell second hand diecast 1:18 model cars?

Suggest 1/43 or even 1/64 as an alternative

I'd also suggest 1:43 or 1:64 scale models as space does go quickly with the larger scales. I've virtually stopped buying 1:18, I have too many.

Finally got the McLaren F1. Been waiting for this for a long time...

This one is the XP5, which is the one that set the speed record and is currently owned and displayed by McLaren at the MTC.
