I went on the Lego site to buy the 'Everyone is Awesome' set but also got distracted by Speed Champions and if you spent £40 you got a free McLaren Elva....

I like the 8 wide size even if it doesn't match the older Speed Champion sets, it won't match the Mustang. Don't like the all in one wheels & tyres but the wheel trims are quite effective.

Really tempted to rebuild it in red...

I got that set a couple of weeks ago and the Jesko this weekend - I like the Jesko, but I'm not bothered about the Corvette, something about it doesn't seem right.

I don't like the all in one wheels either - I didn't emjoy putting the tyres on, but I preferred that to these new wheels...

The Falcon is getting close to being finished yay! Its not got any smaller or lighter and as to hanging one from a wall the way the outer panels attach it would just fall apart. Good job I'm single though as where it is now is where its going to stay, if I wasn't single I probably wouldn't be far off!

Also did the Friends apartments but only recently got some photos (found it tricky to photograph the details closeup with a phone camera...)

Nice to see some decent photos of the Apartments set and I like all of the thought and details.

My wife didn't watch Friends first time around and is currently wading through it (S9 E13) and is loving it. I am going to be earning top husband points when she finishes and I present her with this set to build. She already has Central Perk (+ various other sets), so this will compliment it nicely.

It's definitely a great set for fans of the show. I think I slightly prefer the build / aesthetic of Central Perk, but being a bigger set the Apartments have more details and little hints at different episodes / plots, so it's nice to have both.

The build on that typewriter looks incredible, biggest mix of Technic and Creator I've seen in a single set.

A working lighthouse has just been approved through Ideas, looks really nice.

Is it much different to the original “big” MF from some years ago?

It's a got a few interior bits to look at, few strength improvements and there's more interest in terms of the external colours used to provide variations for the panels.

It looks great as a finished model, got mine displayed on one of these https://www.wickedbrick.com/products/display-stand...
Was a bit hair raising getting it mounted up though.

Very much like. Starting smooching the wife now for that purchase! She will kill me if I ask for forgiveness. She will kill me twice if I ask for permission.

I get the nervousness about mounting the model too…… I dropped the Eiffel Tower 10181 not so long ago when moving rooms. I labelled as the Brickport Earthquake of 2021!

So, MF and the typewriter. If I don’t post for a while, the wife has found out!!
