He didn't like the flower. hippy
I removed 2 bricks from his right leg to move it inwards slightly to a more natural position.

Any detailed/elaborate buildings sets for under £100 new, or available second hand?

My son picked out this house he liked from the Awesome Ideas book because of all the little rooms and stairs and details inside it, I’m guessing this isn’t an actual set though.

Yes, that's not an actual set.

This one is available in the shops/online now. if you bought two your son could make something resembling the Ideas photo.

Best thing from lego that would be similar would be

https://www.lego.com/en-gb/product/modern-house-31...

or if you can cope with the xmas theme

Hmm, those seem expensive for what they are, wonder if there’s a way of just buying a load of roof, window, door etc pieces more cheaply and letting him build up his own houses. Will have a think and see what’s on eBay, he’s only 7 so if I wrap it all up fancy he won’t care that it’s second hand!

Or even one of those sets from eBay, if it’s boxed.

the Creator 3-in-1 buildings are really good builds, some fun details and nice building techniques while being a bit simpler and cheaper than the full on modular buildings. My son has a few- the toy shop, a house, noodle bar/apartments and surf shack and they make a good shelf display together.

Good deal on the 31141 Main street on the lego site.

Ideally you want one of the Lego Modular buildings, but you won't get one in decent condition for under £100, even 2nd hand, unless you are very lucky on ebay.

Whilst a bit more modern, how about this set? It can make 3 different buildings (not at the same time) and seems to have a nice level of detail in the rooms.

Add in a an EV & Charger for the drive.

.

And some road plates and you have a great start to his Lego city for less than £100.

Beware - you will get hooked and end up spending thousands - ask me how I know!

The Mansell Williams is going to make an excellent addition to the McLaren. Although I really want the 191.

Loads of detail in this one.

The furnace lights up, the iron comes down the chute, the shelves collapse and the treehouse has a working zipline!

Don’t say that! Tell me it’s crap and that you can’t possibly feed Cap’n Quint into sharky and giggle all day!

Just ordered The Endurance - got £15 off using just 600 Insider points (75% discount) then used the rest of my points to take a further £16 off. Got 3 GWP - Shackleton's Lifeboat, the Retro Record Player and Winter Holiday Train. Pretty decent value overall I feel.

Me too!

Work has a discount site for employees so I bought a £230 quid gift card for £211, and added the space man tic-tac-toe set with some points. Also bought 3x£5 vouchers to use on my next purchase.

Was waiting at midnight to buy, I need to get a life...
