It’s pretty rare I build new Lego sets on release day. I thought this Land Rover and Jaguar set looked great so pre-ordered with a discount. Didn’t expect it to arrive today. Both good, the F-Type more than the Defender which I didn’t expect. The wheels on the F-Type even look better than the real car. Some excellent design to create the F-Type’s rear diffuser/exhaust area.




I have the M3 as well but no urgent desire to build it. I think it’ll be disappointing compared to these pair.

I don’t mind the F1 sets, I’ve a few of them. But repeating them again when the car designs and liveries are basically the same feels a bit cynical. And why the Lamborghini again?

Agreed. Sick of all the F1 stuff, then again I can’t stand F1. Of all the cars made over the years you’d think the Lego designers would have a field day and get inventive. I understand imagine and licensing rights but surely they could do better. Instead we are treated to virtually the same guff year in year out.

For me Lego have been losing their mojo for a few years now. Only a handful of sets released each year interest me, which is good for my wallet I suppose.

Just finished the Jaws set. Some bits are very fiddly and some parts aren't very sturdy either but it's a good set overall with some nice touches. It now lives in the bathroom above the toilet on the window sill.

Local toy shop had a few discontinued Dreamzzz sets half-hidden. Not the most splendid in the theme, but good enough to buy.



They also had the BDP Thieves Of Tortuga for £329. They get occasional BDP sets in and I have no idea how.
