Yup I got one there today too. The lady on the till claimed they were the only lego shop with stock.

I see it is available again on johnlewis.com right now as well.

And no shortage of Lester minifigs in store in Leicester Square as well.

Just ordered from John Lewis - picking up from the local Waitrose tomorrow, I think this will be my last LEGO for a while, as I'm running out of display room smile, first world problems and all that

The Saturn V is in stock at the shop at Legoland Windsor. My wife picked one up for me today while there with our daughter, and even got the annual pass holder discount. It will make an interesting change from building an endless succession of Star Wars sets with my son!

Die Saturn V, mein gott. Es ist fantastisch!

I finally got an order in for the Saturn V and have built around 75% of it and its a really enjoyable build, which is a surprise, considering it could have been a formed from a bucket load of curved panels.

If Lego can create more 1960s / 1970s space items at the same scale, my kidney is available.
One really simple thing is having no stickers again, which prevents it from looking rubbish. I'd prefer Lego to stop using stickers on everything, they can afford it.

Oh and a large scaled Concorde would be excellent too.

Looks a nice little set, especially if it is £25

I assume that like the Saturn V these will be a right royal pain in the arsenal to get hold of.

I've been into Leicester square today. They had saturn rockets in and I asked about the millennium falcon. They are expecting them in 1st week if December in store then they will be online a few days later. Whether that's true or not I don't know but I asked two different members of staff and they said the same thing.

That's a fantastic little set, especially nice what with the drive to get more school girls into science.

Went to Bricklive at the NEC on Satuday, was ok but not much there really. A little disapointing.
The Mrs was hoping to get the Detectives office or Cinema but didn't see a single modular building for sale!
We went to Smyths and Toys R Us in B'ham after and neither of those had any too, is there a shortage at the moment?

The cinema is due for retirement soon but you can still get it on lego.com. Smyths don't seem to be selling any modulars at the moment - there's none on their website. You can get a discount on the Cinema at TRU -

https://brickset.com/sets/10232-1/Palace-Cinema

Go to the Buy link and click the TRU link

LEGO must be destroying the investor market at the moment.
4 hours late to the party! I guess the excitement meant you forgot to look up laugh

Indeed. I'm now refraining from any large sets, unless they are particularly special from a personal build/display perspective.

Gone are the days when I can convice the Mrs to buy (or not moan about me buying!) a £100+ box of plastic blocks...

Can't help but feel this year has shown some really daft decisions from the Lego bosses.

Agreed.

A great chance to do something really special on the 40th anniversary of the original Technical sets tops my list repaidly followed by the price of the new Falcon considering what you get.
