Massively underwhelmed.

F*cking Ru Paul?! Oh aye that's exactly what I want my kid playing with. Pop-up book is a nice idea and I quite like the jag

Ru Paul who??

And the jag looks pretty poor. The lighthouse looks good although looks more like a house than a lighthouse.

I don't think they've used the most flattering angle for the jag but I think it looks quite good-it's certainly identifiable as an e-type

I thought it looked more like an early 90's Alfa Romeo Spider at first glance.

Having built the Old Fishing Store just yesterday, I can’t quite work out how three more very similar designs from the same designer could have got through this far.

The designer is good and they have the potential to make a good series of models in a similar way to the modular buildings.
I suspect that the problem will be that Lego will not want multiple models from 1 designer taking over the MOC reviews jo mater how good they are. An alternative would be to put him on the staff with a contract for a series of designs.

Yes, I'd love for the Jaguar to be good but right now it's really not.

There's a balance to strike between looking like Lego and looking like the real thing; that misses by some way.

Given that JLR has used Lego (in a big way) as a marketing tool before I don't imagine there'd be a problem with licensing but it would need some serious re-working to be viable.

I see the Orbiter/booster is in review, surely thats pretty likely out of that lot?

Quite like the ship in a bottle, although not a must buy it has to be said.

Any ideas when the detective agency will be retired? I understand the cinema was retired in Nov 17 so the restaurant should be next?

Is there still money in speculating? I thought Lego had screwed everyone by re-releasing sets? I notice the T5 Camper is back on the shelves, wasn't that retired a year or two ago?

They haven't re-released many sets, just Taj Mahal and a couple of the Christmas sets (winter bakery or whichever one it was that they slightly rehashed, and the holiday train I think). Some of the Star Wars sets have been reworked but I think they are more redesigns than re-releases.

I believe the new Taj Mahal is exactly the same as the original from some years earlier other than the addition of a brick separator tool, so it showed that they may well be considering starting to re-release old sets. But then it's not like it was ever a "limited, numbered edition" so it's not like a paint artist suddenly devaluing everyone's collection of his art by re-releasing a previously limited edition print.

More likely everything that comes out now is in such vast quantities that there isn't really so much to be gained by stockpiling sets.

Is there any value in Lego boxes and instructions? 2010-2016?

I'm guessing not but thought I'd ask.

You have boxes and instructions but not the sets? Or are you just looking to keep the sets and flog the boxes etc you no longer need?
