Do the people who propose the items such as the gantry make their plans and kit part numbers available?
Good question. Could be a little project for the Spring!
I had a look at Rebrickable, but couldn't find it. Not sure if it's on any of the other MOC sites.
There's a really good youtube video of a gantry build where the guy had all the bits bagged and ready; I'm tempted to try and get in touch and see if he has parts lists and build instructions to sell.

Lego should do a Lego "concierge" service where they will provide parts for anything you want to build, you give them a list and they pick it and pack it and get it to you, they are missing a trick really as to my knowledge the only people doing this are the aftermarket.
Similar to their pick a brick service? https://shop.lego.com/en-GB/Pick-A-Brick-11998 not the easiest to choose all the parts for something complicated but doable.

I'm sure I read they were due for a February release when there were some leaked 2018 set pictures late last year. If that's the case, expect an announcement and official set pictures any time now....

Sounds about right. From memory, it was about the same time last year that I picked up the Ford GT/GT40 set on release.
Generally speaking they are released march 1st if im correct.

And pics have just been released: https://www.brothers-brick.com/2018/01/27/2018-spe...

Quite a cool wave, i personally dont care much for the Fords, but the Porsches and Ferraris are just excellent

Had a similar amount, sorted it by colour then started building the sets. We have 8-9 sets to go. It's taken about 8months of sporadic effort.

Good job I love Lego

I had the same. The problem is when you get to the finding the last unique piece that there were 8 of but you've found 7 so far. Is it still there or have you lost it somewhere in the years gone by...

I prefer to sort by part shape / size, I find it easier then when looking for parts as they stand out more.

Well this is the first 'new' boxed lego set I've had in 25 years and it's 32 years old anyway.

Still it seemed wrong to have an army of Black Falcons and not have any kind of Castle for them. So here it is, 6074 - Black Falcons Fortress (plus a couple of small extras)

Now I just need to make some room.....

I took these pics as much for myself as you lot. I’m moving house in 4 weeks and need a rough idea of have they were displayed once they’re all unpacked and rebuilt

It'll take you 4 weeks just to dismantle all that lot! I seem to remember you moving not all that long ago, as you had the ordeal of getting the AT-AT back together right?

Between this thread, and the 'frivolous purchases' one, I've a feeling that BK needs to move monthly, for one of two reasons. Either, the geek world finds out where they live and they're in danger of being kidnapped whilst geekdom ransacks the place. Or they've run out of room again...

Can I just move into your garden? Gladly mow the lawn/feed the creature from the black lagoon, etc.

Yep, I moved 2 years ago.

I’m happy to be proved wrong, but I don’t recall ever posting in the ‘frivolous purchases’ thread

I may be confusing you with another poster, apologies.

Just checked, and I have - conflated your good self with 'Sisters of Percy' who is another poster who seems to be able to have an immense collection of damned cool stuff.
