Well spotted, it's the little things, as my son demonstrates the crash tests - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xTTFioBEaTs

By my calculations/estimations I've spent nearly 11 hours just hunting for pieces in my large loose collection. I am missing 6 wheels and most of what I need for the front grill but I think I can work around that - and I need to customise the truck roof to open too which should be relatively straightforward.

I am bleaching all the grey pieces because of sun damage so I can't really start building until Thursday at the earliest, but given that it's my birthday on Friday, I suspect it'll be next week before everything's ready for the build.

ETA - The Eagle eyed amongst you might notice that there are a goodly amount of parts that aren't actually part of the model... This is deliberate as I will have to custom body parts to make the whole thing work. I reckon about 2 hours of building should do it.

Then about 4 hours of fettling to get the roof to open.

Then another 4 hours to get the helicopter roof to open.

Then another 3 hours putting it all back as "this was a stupid idea anyway" smile

Surprised there are wheels missing; they were one of the prized possessions from when I broke the model down and they would had been used on other MOCs I made up. I do remember sticking a few extra on the jet transporter but I think you already returned that to standard? Otherwise I remember making this really boxy, black space/sci-fi inspired truck that I think used at least 4 of the wheels...

Good luck!

There seems to be one per axle missing which is better than there being just an odd one not there...

I'll have another hunt, but the absence of any wheels isn't of concern really - That said, I've seen how much set of just the wheels are on ebay! I'll manage with one per axle I think smile

Profanity level: High. Very high....

Took me nearly an hour and a half due to poor Lego organisation, missing pieces (or just that I couldn't find them), hangover and supremely bad and unclear instructions (downloaded and then printed out on a colour laser printer)

I'm not even going to attempt the truck until next week....

Some awesome things on the way from Lego this year, just hoping for a train refresh and I'll be bankrupt!

The rollercoaster looks fantastic for playability with my 3 year old but nowhere to put it. The new Statue of Liberty looks stunning and must be a very clever legal build. Got a couple Jurassic World sets on the list too, the T-Rex transport in particular.
