General Sale on LEGO.com unfortunately. They just wont let us independents have all these sets, such a shame.
Is this becoming more common that they keep it in house or I’ve seen other sets offered at John Lewis and nowhere else.

Done! Some modifications needed as I wanted the trailer to work with both trucks and there were a few bits missing but it's finally finished! biggrin

Good work on building it up. I stumbled into this thread by accident but I actually have that exact model fully assembled in a box in my garage. Comes out a few times a year for my youngest to play with.

I have this set in it's component parts amongst all my childhood sets! if i recall at the time, there was a white/blue Jeep thing that was sold alongside it. I really should start building some of it again...

I was surprised that the hitch set-up was so different between the two and I know my son would want to connect them because lorry hehe

It works well and my initial thoughts were horrendously complex before I had a brain "on" moment and kept it simple smile

Tigerwoods - love them trucks, bit large for my roads however smile

Here's a few more from the current layout and a previous one, the Lego Scalextric cars work really well considering they're all Lego powered and Lego tyres:

That's awesome - Have you got any other build instructions as I'd love to have a go at that smile

I did a really poor youtube video of using a 12v cigarette USB adapter to step down voltage to 5V to use Lego motors, as the main problem is the cheapest ones to find are:

These are grey 4.5v so you'll need to step down.

If you can find the black ones, I use mostly they are 12v so you can run them directly from the Scalextric, however they are much harder\expensive to find:

Anyway the build video with the USB jobby is:

Here's a few more, including a nice 4x4 Landrover Series 2

A video showing the 4x4 format racing another is:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DqLZlwjtXl8 and my little lad - dirty racer!!

Lego Scalextric car jumping!!

And the gasser running without it's bonnet and boot - runs really quickly:

And many others if you have a look through!!

Hope this inspires perhaps.

I’ve been after this for a while, so I picked one up while in the Lego store yesterday. Great build so far, i’m around halfway through the first stage rocket.

Someone picked up one of those yesterday while I was filling pick a brick cups up, a couple of the new UCS Y wing and some one came in and got a UCS Falcon.

Massive box to have to carry out of the store, hehe.

The guy running that looks shifty and makes me doubt that adequate safety arrangements are being carried out.

That's weird. I got an email last week that it would be available here in the Netherlands today for VIP access and I get the same "not available in your country" notice........

Bah.

also, it appears I can't add it to my wishlist either so I'm guessing there's just an website error somewhere and it'll be ok later on.

Thanks to Cliffe_Mafia for the excellent spot and for sharing the bargain he located.

I've spent the past 3 weeks downloading instructions, rebuilding and cleaning the models that were built (sometimes not correctly!). Based on the sets I've built (which is all that I could identify) there are 20-30 pieces missing that I may order from BrickLink.

In addition to the sets pictured I've got a large box of pieces (maybe 300-500 bricks, something like this plus approximately 50 minifig's that I need to re-assemble.

I've taken a picture of the 3 most distinctive missing pieces, does anybody know which set these may have come from or is there a way to work it out based on the brick number or anything like this?

£20 very well spent in my eyes
