A purported leak of the DB5.

The front end looks exceptionally dubious :/

I'm guessing that view is going to be quite widely-held and that MOC versions improving the front end will appear reasonably quickly.

Still, if it's a legit picture, it makes it easier for me to say no on release.....

That can't be legit, surely? It looks like something which wouldn't gather enough support on the Ideas site to undergo consideration.

Same dilemma as the Bugatti for me, I want to like it but can’t frown

It's like someone made one of those spectacularly st kit cars. Complete with MINI headlights.

It seems to be a Chinese interpretation of an Austin Healey 3000 !

That looks awful.

Hopefully the photo/mock up is a bad joke.

If not I’m most definitely out.

It's not really any different to the Mini or Beetle in terms of being a slightly blockier/flatter approximation of the real thing. Incidentally I think both of those look much better in real life than they do in pictures. It's Lego after all, not a faithful scale model

As far as I can tell the main issue with this is that the gentle curves around the headlights and front grill are basically flattened out (I imagine the rear will be exactly the same), I'd be intrigued as to how that could be 'fixed' with a legal build.

Exactly, it’s an interpretation in Lego.

Also there’s no mistaking that it’s a DB5 so I think it looks pretty good, and will look great next to the F40, Catherham, mini and beetle.

It’s not the front that puts me off, it’s the big slab sides.
I don’t think it’s comparable to the Mini or Beetle as they both have more shape.
The Beetle has the huge arches, and the Mini the small ones, that helps to break up the flatness.
Of course I understand the limits of Lego, some designs work and some don’t. I think this one doesn’t.
However, if it has all of the gadgets it could be a good one to build

It's the slab sides which don't work for me either. Reminds me of this:

Is it all silver rather than grey though? That might be its big feature.

I quite like 21041 Architecture Great Wall of China Building Set

I have that one, its great !

Quite fancy another couple but adapt them so they join up and maybe do some mods to make each section different so its more realistic.

It seems you guys are not the only ones. I massively under estimated this at launch as it flew off the shelves!

Its a good build too, it looks good when built. Its one of my favourite builds recently.

I'm liking the look of the new high speed train. I've long fancied trying to get one of the old orange tgv ones but this one might just beat it!

Part of me hoped the image was a bonus build (like the mini Mini) but there’s no way it is.

Either an elaborate hoax or it just looks terrible. I’m leaning towards the latter.
