Been doing more on my hospital build. Now got operating rooms, icu, morgue and the mental ward and almost out of space. Could easily add another 2 floirs and fill them up with general ward, outpatients area, lab and an xray dept. Not sure if it would be too big then ? Or if its worth the extra £40 in bricklink bits to make.

However staring with the 2nd floor plan which is icu and theatre:

Theatre 1 has a gent receiving some basic treatment.

Theatre 2 is dealing with a crtically ill patient. This hospital has a "if in doubt, hack it off" policy:

The ICU/recovery ward is a bit more sane:

The morgue is on the same floor as the mental ward. In part due to space and also the high level of fatalities in mental health these days. Its a simple single slab and single freezer set up:

The mental ward has its own security guard:

You can see the small outpatient group therapy session:

My dynamite is in the padded cell as he kept trying to harm himself with explosives:

Currently we have a variety of patients sectioned. All chained down to protect themselves from the horrors of thier own minds.

Also for serious cases, on ward ECT is done:

And thats it for now incase i decide to add more floors.

Ive got so many designs in my head but not enough time or money to build them all. Most recent one ive designed in detail is a minifigure scale vangaurd class SSBN. The missile comparment is very repetitive in real life so in lego im doing the same probably 4 missile segments which can snap together on black pins. Then a front and rear pressure hull section.

Only problem is finding a good source for lego "scale". So many different sources. Depending whos i go on this model could be anywhere between 1.5 and 3m long.

That Lego hospital is superb. Brilliant little cameos! Can't wait to see more. I especially liked the wheelbarrow full of amputated body parts.

I might do another couple of floors following the positive response.

I've had a few requests for a burns ward. LOL. I guess that just needs lego mummy figures!

Gotta say the hospital is really good!

I built these at the weekend, didn't realise this set was out but couldn't resist a couple of muscle cars!

Love the supercharger on this!

When I googled it a while ago the most "agreed" scale that people assess mini-figs to be is 1/48.

So about 3m in length. LOL. Technic frame covered in plates rather than pure brick build i think.

My latest small build is this years snow groomer thingy:

Pretty simple build. I like the totally pointless snow cannon thing.

Worked out the basics for the lego submarine already. The missile compartment is going to be built in 2 missile sections. The basic pressure hull shape is made from 16 of the old school 6 stud technic beams. 2 rings per "section". Each ring is held together by hinge plates. The 4 decks are again technic beams and are what stabilises the shape of the ring. each ring is 10 studs apart spaced using 6x10 plates. Decks will be plates with holes for the missile tubes which are 6 stud circular pieces so that a 4 stud diameter missiles fit within. I might find another solution for the missile tubes so I can fit 6 stud wide missiles as available lego pieces from the shuttle boosters make the missiles look really good in 6 stud diameter. Each 2 missile section will click onto the adjacent piece using technic pins. The smaller diameter forward and aft pressure hulls are made in similar way. The whole submarine outside will be covered in 2x2 stud flat studless tiles to represent the anecholic tiles.

Looking forward to seeing that as it progresses.

I have no knowledge of, or interest in, Ninjago really but after watching a review of this on youtube I really like the look of the set. And then it happened to be 'cheap' (still £199) in Smyths so I bought it.

Love the Oriental detail and the fact that it's huge, 4,800 pieces, but has very little repetitive building. It's all interesting shapes and colours etc. Look forward to building it and may even end up getting the Docks set to sit alongside it eventually.
