As someone who still has a barracuda on display and also has almost every decent pirate set from the 80s to early 90s in the loft I am very excited about this set!

It looks great, fun, nostalgic and well designed. I buy very few modern sets but that one is a must.

Would love to buy this for my 5yr old grandson as he is into pirates at the moment ..but as much as I love him £179 I could not justify that cost .

35cm long, 14cm wide (15 cm inc. wing mirrors)

It sits cramped on the shelf next to my desk along with the F40, Caterham, DB5 VW Camper, Beetle & Mini currently smile

Can't wait to get the home office moved to it's new room this weekend so I can work on displaying properly!

Struggling to find a decently priced display cabinet that'll fit some of the bigger sets.. The Death Star for example is, what - 45cm diameter with the protruding bits? Most afford glass units seem to only be 30cm deep..

Well I've been furloughed from work but as it happens was in the process of recovering my childhood lego (and technic) from my parents house to pass onto my 4 year old son.

Now its been sorted and cleaned:

We've (well, mostly me) built these so far:

Then, theres this:

Sadly we appear to have lost the drive bogie so I improvised and made a rolling bogie so my boy can just shove it around. We're short of a few pieces as well, whats the best place to get spare parts?

Cheers

Who was that guy that made all the disaster scenes in here. I wonder if he’s doing a covid theme one?

This. Probably the best site for getting LEGO pieces, and old sets as well.

What are the general thoughts on the ISS set please? Anyone got it and really happy?

I've been looking at it, but i'm not 100% at the moment. I already have the Shuttle Expedition, Saturn V, and Lunar Lander, so thinking of getting the ISS to carry on the space theme. Is it worth £65 though, I don't want to get it just for the sake of carrying on the theme.

It’s a really nice set with lots of detail, I was really happy with it and it’s surprisingly sturdy. Go for it!

For balance, I found it a bit dull to be honest. I paid £110 for the Saturn V so £65 seems steep for the scale and complexity that the ISS is(n't).
