The Saturn V set is the best Lego build I've done by far, and that includes the really big Technic sets too. It's a great build, mines now dismantled and I can't wait to build it again.
Another really enjoyable one for me was the Lunar Lander also.
This bodes really well...I have both Saturn V and the Lander sat here waiting for me to get building...! biggrin

Cheers.

I’ll keep a look out, the Senna is still marked as 2 for 15 at Argos/Sainsbury’s but it’s the only set and I’ve no need of a pair!

Like the 911 a lot!
Get a second one and the next time your son gets invited to a birthday party he can take the other one!

Facebook market - can’t say no can you?

It might grow on me when I have built it. We will see.

Found the 911 Speed Champions in Sainsbury’s for £8. Picked up the Chevy set for £8 too. Santas stocking is filling already.

Edit "ever growing stash" same here, hoping for another lockdown to help get thru the stash.
Recently added 10273, 10264, 10270, 21322, 21318, 71374 and 21323 as its double points.
Enjoy your beetle!

Ive had the ISS sat boxed up since launch built it yesterday and probably my least enjoyable build. Don’t think it will stay on display long.

It looks great but I agree it was a very boring build.

Today though my batteries arrived for my crocodile train. (I purchased the connected hub and motor along with some extra track and switches.

So much nicer having it connected with the motor and still a great build but frustratingly it appears I can’t run 2 connected trains at once using the Bluetooth app.

I’m going to have to contact Lego though as one of the switches is not moving over completely so just details trains in one of the positions.

If the hogwarts express gets down to £50ish again I think I’ll get it to run with a motor.

I’m disappointed in the drooping at each end, have added some strengthening internally but not much better

These Lego creator sets seem to be having a bit of a lull at the moment. Over he last few years Ive made the lunar lander, Saturn 5, London bus and VW van with my kids but I haven’t seen any good ones for a while. I was tempted by the iss but my kids thought it looked a bit rubbish.

There was some I really liked in the Lego support site thing that got canned in the end.

Haunted house looks good. As I mentioned above the crocodile train is a really enjoyable build and a good price (without the engine).

The Lego Ideas, er, ideas that have been approved lately have certainly taken a strange turn, but I guess they now know what makes them money (i.e. the massive success of the Friends set).

Also always worth remembering that according to their annual statements, in the main it's still the kids that are the ones making them money. Lego City is usually top of the pile and it's interesting to see that range has leaned quite a bit into 4+ (as have the Superhero sets, another top theme in terms of sales)

The Gemini capsule was rejected from the Ideas. Rather disappointed about that. I have asked about getting a copy of the design to make my own.

Yeah that looked great, I would have bought it. I also liked the fishing boat.
