Don t forget there s also sellers commission as well as buyers!

It ll only go for what someone is willing to pay.

If it s worth £3k and a buyer REALLY wants it,gets it for £2.5k plus fees then happy days. It s only going to go one way in value .unless they do the right thing and open it to build it!

30% on the £2.5k puts it around £3.25k if you bid online. Not so happy days.

Selling

5.1 Vendor settlement is normally made approximately 25 days after the sale, subject to cleared funds having been received from the Buyer. Payment is made by bank transfer or cash. The Auctioneers act as agents only and shall not be liable for Buyer default.

Fees

18% + VAT (21.6%) commission on the hammer price (minimum £1 per lot)
£5 + VAT lotting fee per sold lot (no fee for unsold lots)
1% insurance fee on all lots (based on hammer price if sold, or reserve/valuation if unsold, plus VAT)


Another 21.6% to the auction house. It appears with quite alot of auctions that the only people that do well are the auction house.

And I have to say I don't like it, but in fairness to Lego, it is a very difficult shape to reproduce in bricks.

Thay could have just printed bricks rather than tiles for a flush fit, or you could get a lego printer to do it for you if it annoys you that much.
