If anyone is still buying these they have announced the U.S.S Vengence from 'Star Trek into darkness' as the next big size limited edition. 21.5cm long and looks pretty good.

Comes out on the 30th October.

Yep, still getting mine, though helf space is getting a bit tight, and GF has said NO to using another shelf on the fancy dresser, so may have to clear some of the shelving in the spare room\loft.

Still have my Sub on the go, where did they announce the Vengence?

Looking here looks like there are only a few left to run soon, unless they add more of course... http://www.startrek-starships.com/eng/ship-order.h...

Vengence is on a card annoucement inserted inside issue 31 (The Valdore). There is a photo of the model and it looks pretty mean, very dark grey with lots of slightly lighter grey aztecing. Going to cost £20.99 apparently and as above out on the 30th.

I've been cherry picking mostly the Star Fleet stuff and will probably only get the Runabout and Delta Flyer out of the remaining ones listed (and the Vengence). I might order The 'E' as I missed that one in the shops when it released but I've not seen any good photos of the actual model.

There is another list here:

http://en.memory-alpha.org/wiki/Star_Trek:_The_Off...

They can't end the collection without an original series Enterprise, that's the one I want the most eek

JJ Star Trek just ended on Film4. I still can't believe how ugly they made the ship for the reboot! vomit

Funny thing is I think the JJ Enterprise is pretty good looking. Manages to be more streamlined that the original, be more "believable" (those spindly pylons on the original always looked gash to me) yet it's still the Enterprise. It really could not be any other ship.

Out of these two....

I will take the JJ'verse every time. I even like the fact that the nacelles actually have heft and design to them rather than being bland tubes. JJ gets a lot of stick from Original series fans for tones he has taken, but I think he has done a dam fine job in bringing Trek "back". smile

I like the film, but the ship looks too heavy somehow and the shape is bulbous and ungainly. The nacelles don't thrust the ship along like giant rockets, so I don't mind the spindly pylons of the original Enterprise. I like the old Klingon cruiser with the spindly neck more than the Vor'cha so maybe I just like spindly.

I think they did a good job updating the interior. smile

My Vengeance special has arrived, but no sign of the Runabout and Hideki issues that are due this week.

The Vengeance is very good and well worth picking up. Still not a big fan of the design, bit too fanboy ish with theres elements I really like, irregular hull panelling, the colour. smile

My favourite was the refit from the original films.

Got all three last week, quite like the runabout (Danube) more than I thought I would., liking the list of forthcoming stuff, lots of interesting things. Its not just a million refits.

Did you get the Vengeance?

Forgot to post the Nausican Raider and Valdore, both of which I was very impressed with...

I picked up the Vengence and runabout yesterday. Equally impressed with both.

Looking forward to Jan now as the Delta Flyer is on my 'must acquire' list.

Am looking at this collection, and they look amazing, but having watched all the shows at one time or another, ships like the Akira and Vengeance don't register with me. Have all the ships being released apppear in TV/film at some point? or are some notible mentions/fanfic ships?

Akira class was created for Star Trek first contact and appeared in the opening battle. Been featured several times since in DS9.

Vengence is the big ship from Star Trek into Darkness. If you have seen that movie then you should have seen the U.S.S Vengence... She's twice the size of Enterprise and 3 times as tough.

Every single ship released so far has had screen time, either as a primary role in an episode/movie somewhere or as a fan favourite that largely featured in the back ground of key moments (Akira started this way)

Thanks, just needed some pointers as to where they're from (shows how much attention I ever gave to the show!)

Well my issue 32 and 33 arrived today. Both are perfect to me, the Runabout is a good representation and the Hideki is so wonderfully obscure that its great to have, plus it looks great too.

Does nobody have the 3 Nacelle starship?

I got it for my nephew about 12 years ago.

This is a picture because he eventually broke the model.

I have it, sitting beside the normal one.

Why are you after one?
