Is anyone still buying these?

I managed to pick up the latest Special issue of the NX-01 Refit and I must say it's pretty exceptional. I did a quick search to see what is still to come out as I've only ever purchased on a pick and choose basis and there are some nice smaller ships on the list (Captains yacht, Federation Scout ship from 'Insurrection', Federation trainer, Aeon Timeship etc)

I've noticed that my local WHSmith store still gets these in but they sell really quickly (they usually get 4 copies I think).

I'm keeping my eye out for an NX-01 refit but apart from that it's becoming increasingly difficult to find anything worth the hassle to procure.

It doesn't help that the forthcoming publication schedule is next to impossible to keep track of. Even the official facebook page has given up posting regular updates as to what's coming next and when.

The shops should have the Refit now, try your local WHSmith as all of mine had it on the order schedule on Friday but as of then non had received the delivery (only the standard ship had been delivered).

I think they have out done themselves with this special though, the details and quality are really good. It's worth ordering specially if you can' find one in a shop.

Agree with the rest of your post. There are three or four I may get now and once I find out issue numbers I am just going to pop into my local newsagent and just order those issues (and put the release dates in my calendar). Otherwise it's just hell to know what is coming when.

I just got my Federation fighter and Breen warship through the post. The fighter is a nice little thing if not particularly detailed. The Breen ship is really nice. Lots of detail, unusual design. The paint job is a bit too colourful, but aside from that it's a good one.

I'm still in, and will be until the bitter end. Its been confirmed that they will go to 110 issues, although at the moment we only have confirmed names and numbers up until issue 76 (so July). I'd expect to hear soon what the next batch of issues will be.

If you want to keep track this site has an excellent page (I'm sad so have every Thursday release in my calendar); http://www.thetrekcollective.com/p/star-trek-offic...

The latest subs delivery of the Fighter/Breen/NX-Refit was a cracking one. The NX-Refit as mentioned is really the best they've made since it started.

Does anyone still collect these? I've recently started again and am up to 15 of them. I have a few rare ones, and I'm trying to get hold of an Enterprise C at a reasonable price! Also trying to track down a Defiant with the correct decals, mine has a decal facing the wrong way and Eaglemoss won't replace it, telling me there's nothing wrong! If anyone here can help out drop me a PM!

My lot

The offending Defiant model with the decal on the wrong way

So far the Klingon Bird of Prey and Runabout are the stand out impressive ones. Voyager lacks detail, as does the movie refit Enterprise.. but for a tenner each they aren't bad!

I've been subscribing from the beginning so I've got them all apart from the specials. I see you have both movie Enterprises 1701 and 1701-A, my movie 1701 was an odd darkish blue-grey, but yours both look to be the same colour.

The Enterprise C was a bit of a disappointment as the deflector dish doesn't look right. NX Enterprise is a nice model with loads of detail and nicely painted. Any of the models with metallic paint like the Jem'Hadar ships and some of the Klingon ships tend to look good. USS Grissom is one to look out for as it's a nice big chunky one.

Heres looks at the moment theres a couple missing as I broke them moving the boxes around before I got this cupboard luckily the damage is only minor bits that were glued on and can be put back once I get some superglue. I also need to add another couple of lights and shelves to be able to actually fit them all in

Nice way to display them. Have you got a favourite ship?

I don't have a favourite as such but I have always preferred the alien ships compared to the federation which normally seem a bit sterile in comparison, I probably like the Xindi and the Jem hadar ships in this collection best although Prometheus and the Enterprise J are a nice step away from the norm

Got hold of a huge model of the Enterprise from the last 3 Originals Series films, the "A". Basically the 1701 Refit with a nicer paint job.

That's an Art Asylum/DST Enterprise. Brilliant models/toys, I've got a few.

There is a new separate collection now too..... The Star Trek Discovery collection

Each ship is larger (and way more expensive at around £45) and it's only one ship a month, shipping starts in Feb 2018 but you can sign up now and get the first ship for £9.99

Its £29.99 a month. But yes, each ship is larger and roughly in line with the specials/jumbo issues. So its either an expensive special (normally £22.99) or a cheap jumbo (normally £49.99).

I'm starting that subscription, but I will dip out if the choices get rubbish. Certainly the Shenzhou (spelling?) and Discovery itself look worth the price.

Normal collection has been extended to 150. We are literally getting every ship worth noting (and some that aren't) by the end. So cool.

I'm not getting the new subscription as I don't know if I actually like the new series yet, but to be fair there have been a couple of dud ships in the current collection so I may change my mind later
