The Decool 911 build continues, really enjoying it so far

I got my Decool 911 last week (amazed that i got it in 5 days from H&H), and I'm around this stage as well - found that the pieces were bagged up much more logically than previous Lepin Star Wars sets (totally random bagging!)
Can't comment on that I'm afraid, I sorted mine into tupperware style boxes before I started!

I'm glad I found this tread and discovered Lepin brand, thanks gents!

Ordered a cheap Wall-e to build with my daughter and see how they fit together, if it's all good then I'll be getting the Star Wars Imperial Shuttle UCS (I've got a couple of current smaller model from LEGO since the UCS ebay prices are outrageous) and I might get Slave-1 to play with.

Finished my Lepin SSD

- Four missing pieces (all the same - 4x1 grey with groove - see pic below). I was 95% of the way through the build when it became clear they were missing...so close! Just decided to purchase from Bricklink for simplicity.
- Two slightly off colour pieces (both the same - 12x3 dark grey triangle - see middle piece in the pic below comparing against the actual dark grey and actual light grey). Not really an issue as they are largely buried in the build.
- Quite a few spare pieces, all small including lots of mini-fig blasters (see pic below)
- I was not interested in the mini figs, but they are generally decent I'd say, aside from Bosk (green hand colour is way off from the head colour!! See pic below)
- Really enjoyable build. For the price I would definitely recommend it, if you are prepared to accept the risk of some some missing pieces etc.

That colour difference is huge! laugh

So, my best mate works for Emirates and was in Shanghai over the weekend, he went to an "underground flea market", which as I understand it is the place to go for knock offs and apparently most of the knock off stuff being sold was lego (ie Lepin, DeCool etc), which kind of goes to show the popularity of this stuff over other knock off items (Eletronics, Jewellry).

Anyway, long story short he picked up the UCS Star Destroyer for me (not the SSD, the ISD) at $81, which is an awesome result, most aliexpress buyers have it at $140+, he did say he had to haggle a bit, but still a great saving. Now I just have to wait for his next trip to Orlando! biglaugh before I can get my hands on it.

Anyway, makes me realise how the aliexpress guys can offer postage at such little cost if they have such a good mark up anyway, so if any of you have friends/colleagues in or going to china, save your money and ask them to get it for you, so much cheaper.

Has anyone built the Lepin version, anything I should know? I understand the magnets are a bit naff, so may need to try and find replacements on bricklink or something, any other advice or anything I should be aware of (specific to this set, I have other Lepin sets).
Cheers
Ash

Just completed my Lepin Orange 911 as had a part missing and was despatched by H&H ( Kitty Hu )in record time .I have been really impressed by there communication and quick delivery and would defiantly us them again .thinking on buying either the Green or White one has anyone built both and is there any quality issues . The only negative about this model you end up covering all the gearing and mechanical should have clear covers to show off the workings

I have the white one, no issues with the parts or supplier. Fit and finish no different to the lego orange on it hangs next too.

My Wall-E has arrived today, I ordered it from Gelida Store with free delivery, I got it as recorded RM 48 so really impressed so far. Came packed in some bubble wrap and a bag which I'm happy with, quality of the pieces seems really good and the instruction booklet is also not far off from genuine Lego.

We'll build it tonight after school.

Wall-E is a brilliant set IMO, great when it's finished, you can manipulate him for different poses, which adds to the character I think. Enjoy.
When I build Lepin, I always use the online Lego instructions BTW.

I have a Lepin F40 on the way.

I think my next order will be the super star destroyer. Which still seems really good value.

Nice collection! I've got the genuine lego shuttle set (non UCS) and identical mug, what are the odds. Daughter drinks from it as I got a large one from the Disney shop to go with my tea addiction.

So far so good, pieces fit together really well, printed blocks are really good quality and there's nothing missing. I hope we can finish it tomorrow.

Hi Guys,

it has been a while since I posted on this forum. Glad to see it is still going on. Now even my wife is doing bricks building (she loves the mini street from the brand Sembo) ! It is funny to see the whole family doing their projects (Mum=mini street, Dad=Starwars, Son=anything !) ... The only problem now is where to put all those projects ! I need to buy a warehouse ! Look at the pictures and you will understand ... And Lepin is not helping ... the are releasing interesting sets nearly every week ! Have fun all building !

Nearly finished my Decool 911 - however, just wanted to check if the rear spoiler is suppose to be that loose and floppy? Is there no way to lock the angle so that it doesn't move?

The Lepin rear wing is very stiff to move and you can move it into any position you like ..not loose at all .

We had some fun with the camera, cute and well detailed set. Lepin instructions aren't bad at all so we didn't bother downloading Lego pdf.. The cockroach is a great little detail.

The head is a bit heavy and needs to be carefully balanced to stay in position but genuine Lego is probably the same.

Mine's adjustable but can't be locked in position, certainly wouldn't say it was loose and floppy.

Finished building mine last week and everything was great, only issue I had was four missing red pieces (although I had white ones left over so I could use). Contacted H&H and they confirmed they will be sent this week.

That looks so much better than the Lego example.
