Wall-E is a brilliant set IMO, great when it's finished, you can manipulate him for different poses, which adds to the character I think. Enjoy.
When I build Lepin, I always use the online Lego instructions BTW.
We had some fun with the camera, cute and well detailed set. Lepin instructions aren't bad at all so we didn't bother downloading Lego pdf.. The cockroach is a great little detail.

The head is a bit heavy and needs to be carefully balanced to stay in position but genuine Lego is probably the same.
Those pictures look great.
This just arrived after 11 days from
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Idea-Robot-WALL-E-...
Should make for one very happy nephew tomorrow.

hey guys - not been able to read all 66 pages but thought i'd chip in...

just finished my first Lepin build of the UCS Slave 1......and wow!!

i've been after this for a while but with so many other hobbies i've never been able to justify the £180 but when i stumbled across Lepin builds on youtube i thought it would be worth a punt.

Ali Express was the option BUT note that Lepin are opening their own online store v soon (inc free delivery)

the lego instructions are good as they are exact but as has been said, colours are hard to read, need to be able compare other pages and pieces to make sure. I had to disassemble a small section to retrieve 2 light grey bits when they should have been dark grey.

no missing bits and very few spare bits (excluding the generic weapons)

this is how it came and how i sorted it to try and make it simpler...

so some pics...

i found the fit and quality good (not as good as lego but around the same quality as megablocks)

some bits fitted tighter than others but i get the impressing that reusing a few times as the lego seems less dense...

...weight for comparison (inc boba and han in carbonite on board)

I will be buying the super star destroyer now (or the fan build medical frigate) but do i wait for the Lepin store to open or buy before??

Might be cheaper to wait for the Lepin store to open, not sure on actual Lepin costs but as an example.
Aliexpress have the ISD for $144'ish, my mate picked it up for me in Shanghai for $81, I would imagine actual Lepin prices to be somewhere between the two.

As far as the Porsche model is concerned that is a lot dearer than buying it through H& H via Ali express at $88 delivered via DHL . No Idea how the other model work out as only the cars interest me not into Star Wars .

Just a quick question.

I'm going to order my first Lepin the Slave 1 USC.

But what the best way to find the buyer that you guys are ordering from? Or just go for the one with good feedback?

In the main it seems to be slightly more expensive than Aliexpress, but they either have the images wrong or have mis-priced the UCS ISD and UCS size Venator Class at $40 each! That can't be right.
Editted to add - Actually that's just the front page, the price when you select it is different, the Venator is $330 (much more expensive than Aliexpress) and the ISD is $175, so about $30 more than Aliexpress.
Well, Aliexpress it is then, unless you know someone in or going to China that can pick it up at the market for you cheaper.

Nosing at Lego on Amazon (discounted Architecture Capitol Building was the reason) I spotted there's a brand called Newniu doing Lego copies on there. Not as cheap as I'd expected, mind you: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01N0VLQPO - £39.99 as I post for the 'Triumphal Arch of Paris'.

Due to the fragility they will not post out ..If you wish to arrange your own courier that is fine .

What's with the excessively red parts on the back? The original Lego model is all one tone.

It's a fairly well known issue of a few bits being the wrong colour. The accepted easiest way to get it looking "right" is to order the few bits from BrickLink to complete the model.

Battle damage after a chase within the asteroid belt. Bob only has 3rd party cover as his job is high risk so had to get it fixed at the local Yavin garage which gives him a great price but the finish isn't great due to the manager R5D4 having a pretty poor motivator.

but the ship spends its days flying through space with no one around

besides, have you seen the paint job on his armour?? wink

Haha. I think I've used that same garage to paint the hardtop on my VX220. Both car and hardtop are 'red', but that's where the similarities end.

Just had a text from Royal Mail to say my Wall-E is arriving today. And I get paid tomorrow. If Wall-E all goes well Im going to look at some of the bigger stuff.

Also, I read on Reddit that there's a legal case against Lepin being brought up in September. I don't know how serious / accurate it is, but might be worth picking up any Lego White Whales before then.
