Very nice, isn't it? And I assume no different to the genuine version.

Ironically, it was the genuine version that got me interested in Lepin. When it came out I had not been interested in Lego since I was a kid - apart from a brief (very brief) consideration of the UCS Falcon when that came out. I thought "oh, I'll wait a bit and it will come down in price". The next time I looked, about a year later, it was retired (already!!) and selling for a much higher price on Ebay/BrickLink.

Then I learned that this is fairly common, was reminded of the UCS Falcon, and when I searched for it (to send an example of the silly prices to my boss) found out about wonderful Lepin.

So, in a roundabout way, it was Lego themselves that pointed me to Lepin! Thanks Lego.

Sopwith Camel you say? ears

I didn’t know they did one of those... With working ailerons and elevators no less!

Ordered!
I've ordered the Sopwith Camel. Should be arriving today. Only ordered 1st Feb, so an extremely quick turn around so far!! Will endeavour to post some pictures when it arrives.

Like many I've joined since reading the 81 pages on this thread.

Just bought the white Porsche and BMW bike through H&H (thanks guys) for a grand total of £80 no p&p which compared to the combined £315 Lego retailers are looking for makes total sense.

I first noticed Lepin & DeCool when the missus was looking at Wish.com, I was attracted to the Mont Blanc's, Parker pens and the odd watch... very nice.

My first was the DeCool/King Steerer truck racer for a grand total of £17 + p&p, you can't buy a decent 1/48 scale airfix kit for that.

As with most, the sealed bags were well packaged accompanied by the usual zip lock with the instruction booklet and larger pieces, quality abs with good colour pigment. All the pieces were there with the odd extra blue & black connectors.

Good clutching to the point were my fingers hurt when breaking it down to build the road racer from the Lego downloaded instructions. The pistons within the engine block do stick causing the dif cogs to slip noisily but as the racer is sitting on a shelf I'm not too concerned.

I'm attracted to the big trucks and plant machinery rather than the Stars Wars replicas although seeing the MF on a TV bracket is giving me wicked thoughts!

Are they a rip off? For me if you consider my list of 15 models with a lego label would cost £4979 compared to Lepin's £1373 I know where I feel I'm being ripped off.

I've just finished the Lepin BMW bike -- its great. If you are planning on displaying it, I would grab a copy of the genuine stickers from bricklink, the ones that come with the Lepin set say "BMM" and the logo is upside down on the fender. Because of the shape of the sticker, you cant put it on the right way up unless you cut it up.

Thanks cdrx, I couldn't find them on bricklink but Ebay seller had both the stickers plus both instruction manuals for £3.49 inc postage.

Lego customer services will sell you a sticker sheet. Have done it in the past with the older Ferrari sets which had lots of stickers.

Got my eye on an AT-AT (probably not the mechanised version), the Sopwith Camel and maybe the Saturn V.
Got my SaturnV at Christmas, apart from one slightly chewed and mis-shapen brick it assembled like a dream. A few niggles with the printed graphics on the bricks, the U S A doesn't line up , and the windows and hatch on the LEM are not aligned straight.

apart from that it looks bloody great smile

No but I have been reading about other peoples experience while thinking about buying it.

This is a copy of Anio's Venator -
https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-0694/Aniomylone/u...

The Lepin version has an area missing between the bridge and the hull. It doesn't need many parts to complete it but several people bought and used Anio's instructons to build it instead of Lepin's. It's pretty huge and expensive (for Lepin) so I have passed on it so far.

Read through (nearly) each page of this thread and have just taken the plunge to purchase the Lepin 20004 crane (through LepinBlocks Store) having been looking for the Lego original for a few weeks now and being out bid on ebay several times.

Looking forward to receiving it and getting on with the build.
