The LEPIN "LEGO" for non sensitive types

That reassures me as I’ve just ordered the 20004 crane for my lad’s 8th birthday, hopefully we’ll have the same good experience
I built that previously, there's a pic of it on page #84 or #85. Same level of spares too. A good solid build plus it's mind blowing in terms of gears & sprockets. The stabilising legs on 20004 are fully automated whereas on the Volvo the arms are powered but the legs are manual.
I've started on the Mercedes Arocs now.
Enjoy!

Slave 1 or imperial shuttle?
Fancy both
I'd probably go for the Slave 1 as I have built the shuttle (as lego) and the size of it makes it a bit hard to have on display. You really need to have the wings open for display.Fancy both
And as Lepin, I'm a little skeptic about the wings holding together. Even as Lego it feels a bit flimsy.
Glad to have found this thread!
Ordered the retired UCS X-Wing at the weekend from lepinbrick Store on AE. Still in processing, so not sure on a timescale.
Looking forward to getting stuck in. Never been into Lego, Wife and Kids adore it. But being a bit of a SW nut [501st and Rebel Legion costumer] i have given in and ordered!

Well this is slow going!!
Not built 'bricks' in years, so this was an eye opener. The wing system makes it a little technical in the guts of it. Having loads of bags unmarked proved rather frustrating, just glad i'd bought 5 large seed trays and 9 little tupaware boxes for £2.50 from the local poundland!!
So far, about 6 hours in and it's starting to take shape. So impressed with how these go together, and that's all Lego's hardwork. Do feel a little guilty that i'm getting to build it at the fraction of the original price.........

Red 5 is probably my favourite set - it's a great display piece. It looks even better with the UCS TIE fighter next to it......
I wouldn't feel too guilty about having had to go to the Dark Side to experience it. Prices on retired UCS sets are ridiculous. I have no compunctions about paying reduced prices for knock off versions of sets that were retired before I "rediscovered" Lego and which can now only be obtained at stupid prices on the used market. All the new release sets that I buy are Lego so it's not like they're not getting their pound of flesh out of me!

That was my "rule" as well, until I saw the release price for the new UCS MF. I think Lego were taking the piss a bit on that one, so I went for Lepin. I will probably get the Lego versions of the Snow Speeder though and the new Y-Wing. I personally think when Lego goes above £350 it's starting to be a piss take.I wouldn't feel too guilty about having had to go to the Dark Side to experience it. Yeah, the MF is a thing of beauty, but £650.00 is way out of reach for me, and just seems to be leading to scalpers buying them for a profit.
The Snowspeeder is on sale at Smyths at the mo, is tempting. Not sure what the differences are on the soon to be [re]released Y wing? - but i can't see it coming in under £200?
Getting there with the X-wing, i'm just loving how these go together, it has ignited a new passion - no more Black series figure collecting for me, have a new interest [can't wait for the Wife's reaction when i try slip this bad boy onto the book shelf.........]

The UCS Y Wing will be priced at £169.99.can't wait for the Wife's reaction when i try slip this bad boy onto the book shelf.........
There will be even less prospect of smuggling it past your missus once the wings go on!
Finished!
Totting it up, i reckon its taken about 10 hours!! I think the lack of organisation with bricks and my first build in donkeys years led to it taking so long. Aside from the frustration of trying to find each piece, its been a total joy to build.
3 missing pieces, the ice hammer for 1 of the engines and 2 of the dark grey little peices that fold up on the back of the engines. Have ordered from bricklink along with a new cockpit screen as mine was a little scuffed.
Just love how they go together, this won't be my last! Problem being, they are so big, Mrs is already moaning. Had to take down my trooping Tie Pilot helmet to display this, so she's got rid of 1 item of mine she detests.......

My son would love the Simpsons house and Kwik E Mart for his birthday. Unfortunately for him I can't afford them, but whilst searching the Internet I came across the Lepin version.
I thought of this thread (as it's the sole reason I've heard of Lepin) and I'd be very grateful if anyone could recommend a reliable Lepin seller.
TIA PH
