Not fake Lego, more a rival (legal) system , a Mattel Audi RS2, it’s a bit clunky in places, I swapped out a studded 4x2 blue plate on the roof, so it’s totally stud free, other than that, it’s standard

It came with a hot wheels RS2

Not too bad for free( Amazon screwed up the delivery so I got refunded) !

That's the Mansell Williams complete along with stickers from Matts Bricks. I've got the Senna McLaren to do as well but annoyingly that has a few pre-printed bricks so I need to replace those before I can sticker it up.

What's up with the wheels on the Williams? They look skinny front and rear and quite shiny. Mine has fatter ones on the rear and a more matt look to the rubber.

Is that a side effect from this being a non-official set?

(Absolutely not a dig in any way. I have lots of official and non-official sets.)

Yip I think it is, I purposely haven't applied the Wheel stickers as I may well upgrade the Wheels on this and the McLaren to some 3D printed items that look better.

Anyone experience with buying the Saturn V / Artemis with lance pad sets?

My son is massively into space and Lego and was looking at the official Technic Artemis set in Smyths this morning but was a bit underwhelmed.

For the same price there are some much more impressive unofficial sets for a similar price but he’s a bit worried the quality will be crap if he picked the wrong set…

Over Easter I ve managed to sit down and actually snap a few bricks together on the Audi Sport Quattro. It s an absolutely fabulous set packed with details. I don t like rushing builds as it s more about the building than the finished model for me, but I am looking forward to seeing the finished product.

Did the belts come with the kit or did you source them separately? They look ace.

They came with mine and yep they are absolutely brilliant.
The set actually comes with stickers for the belts as well so they’re optional. There are instructions to thread them but mine can pre-threaded.

This Audi looks fantastic - where did you get it? Was it Temu or similar - very impressed with the details

Mine came from the UK site Building Block World (bbworld.co.uk). I think you can get these from a number of sites now but whether they all come with the same contents (such as the fabric belts etc I don’t know).

The folks at Building Block world were great to deal with, there was a delay in delivery but comms etc were good.

I forgot to add yep the details are absolutely fantastic. Whoever designed the set was an absolute fanatic, and it s fun comparing all the unnecessary (but great) details with photos of the original the boot plumbing is a good example of that.
As ever with Lego/bricks the pictures really don’t do the finished article justice.

I guess they re going to do an S1 E2 version at some point which means I ll end up having two of them!

I love the larger car sets but find traditional bricks much more rewarding than technic.

Are there any larger kits out there which don’t rely on technic for the majority of the build?

The only one I found was the eagle weslake Grand Prix car. Would be nice if there were some alternatives from a more recent era…

Many of the Lego cars, like the Countach and the retired F40 are available from Ali Express, searching on the Lego 5 digit set number often makes it easy to find them.

I try to get the "current" sets from Lego, and the retired ones from Ali Express.

Spotted this on Amazon so, despite it being €17, I had to get it

At 1/35 it’s slightly smaller than the Speed Champions, with quite a few custom and printed parts, so ten minutes of fun

And with the real thing
