Another WIP - just arrived, silly money but really wanted a 'full body-work' car to try...it will probably be ages before any actual WIP starts, but I know it is sometimes nice to see how the kit looks...

It's huge!

A lot of bodywork! I think the extra cost over and above the F1 models must be the wire wheels. The turning and machine work is stunning, and many many wires and sleeves, but no experience of building the wire wheels, so a bit daunting...

Nice, many paged instruction book!

Lots of PE parts here!

...and lots of spokes here!

Less decals than F1 cars!

Mesh, suede sheets etc...

Very nice crisp PE...

This small PE sheet is extra shiny (mirrors etc)

Massive one piece body...

Not that much resin parts apart from the main body - bonnet and boot are metal...

Wheels and tyres are beautiful...

Many bits!

Spokes...

...and of course, my favorite bits - the loose bags of delicate metal bits!

...more to follow.

The usual bags of very small things!

Nice turned light bowls and intake trumpets...

This bag contains 'chromed' parts...

I assume these are glass light covers (vac formed) - these will be fun to trim...

Windscreen...

Inner wheel arches?

And now on to that body...

Hand to scale!

Couldn't resist some basic assembly! There is going to have to be some delicate reshaping here...

Not a fan of some of those dips and waves in that boot/engine cover...

That's it for now - for probably a while in fact! But had to open the box biggrin

That kit looks incredible and probable was significantly expensive but I think I would be sending it back given the appalling fit of those boot and bonnet castings.

Be a while before I start this smile - got to finish at least ONE other one first...work travels interfering right now...

The white metal parts often need a bit of fettling- but in this case I may ask for a swap - IME Model Factory Hiro provide a fantastic customer service, so I don't see any problems.

Thanks smile - not on this one yet, no. I need to update my BT55 thread (couldn't log in) - and am about to post some in the Mossie thread...
