Thought I'd just share a project I'm in the middle of - well, on hold for the last couple of years as life has got in the way! Hoping to get back to it eventually when I have more time.
It's an Axial SCX10 chassis with a Rastar LR3 body that I've stripped and re-painted. Still the full interior and lighting to finish, steering wheel turns with a micro servo which I'll eventually connect up to a driver figure if I can find anything suitable.

There's a new-ish Tamiya Tom's 84C still available... :-)
Just found a photo of another of mine, this is a slightly customised Tamiya CC01 chassis kit. Maybe I should have been working harder on finishing my garden than driving this all over the rubble....!
<edit to correct photo - perhaps hotlinking to Tamiya USA isn't allowed.>

Thinking of getting back into rc cars and going back to electric having used nitro cars before, anybody used or owned a car from absima. This is roughly what I want and want to spend, if anybody has other suggestions.

The Tom's isn't mine, I meant it's still available retail for around £125, the bodyshell is on Tamiya's RM-01 chassis.
Kit is #58509 for reference.
Ah yes - I have the Porsche flavour RM-01 waiting to be built!Kit is #58509 for reference.
Quite fancy the Kyosho Plazma (I have the 962) Jaguar XJR-14...
I love them but nowhere her is flat enough to use them, hence getting a 2wd buggy last year and starting at Surrey & Hants RCCC.
Didn't see this thread before, so my other post should be in here I guess
As per the the title, I just bought a FTX Carnage Brushless ostensibly for my daughter, given she is not yet 6, my wife correctly identified the real end user as me, the middle aged child wink Thanks to Jadlam for the swift delivery.
My last RC was a 1980s Tamiya, so the performance has somewhat improved !
Remarkably my daughter has actually played with it more than me, and has loved the little ramp as well as trying to 'accidentally' hit my feet.
Her delicate throttle/steering inputs have already welded the wheels to the plastic hubs, broken the body mount and somehow shaken loose the grub screw from the drive shaft cup.
As a result, new alloy hubs, new wheels, new body mount and some grub screws purchased, plus an additional battery, so she can destroy stuff for longer....
It does have me thinking what additional toy/upgrades I now have to get though.......I looked at increased power, but I think that would just destroy the car though...

Yes, how much?
Think it has disappeared from the classifieds... Was £250 w/o electrics and £350 with.Seemed like a good price compared to what you see on ebay so no doubt sold.
They really do look great, though I was never sure they were really 'good enough' in terms of capability.
In other news, I bought one of these and it's brilliant!

More fun than my 2wd buggy, which is too good/ quick to really use outside of a proper track
