Nice - it gets quite a lot of praise and I have considered one..... Interested to know your opinion on it whe you've run it.

The submarine (which is awesome) has been an education.....I had never really considered how one would dive until I googled it........ How deep can one dive?..... I have a SkyRC GPS meter and am becoming all about the stats at the minute!

In the pursuit of which.... One tooth too far.....drifting at 93mph cool

Are there no RC speedrunners on PH???

After a couple of bad experiences with cheaper small scale (looking at you WLtoys)
I bought a Losi mini-b which is currently my favourite RC car - it is a VERY VERY good chassis!
Really is a scaled down 2WD racer.
Fantastic bit of kit for some driveway/indoor/short grass fun
I have uprated the brushed motor - does 22mph

Runs great at the pump track

I have also bought one of these.......

And some other things..

I have put myself on an RC purchase ban for a while.......

I'm made a mistake.

Took the lad to a RC racing experience at the local track. Which he enjoyed so now wants to race. We have a TT-02 that fits in the classes they run. Specifically the Porsche. He's asked for us to paint it in Gulf colours rather than Martini. I've got some paint and a few permitted hop ups ordered.

Can't find any appropriate stickers though. A set on Amazon are out of stock, some are US based and have long delivery + shipping costs.

Etsy had nothing I could find. Any pointers?

Have a look at L&L Models

https://landlmodels.co.uk/

They may be able to help. Good luck with the racing, and make a thread please!

Thanks, some leads but either not in stock, silly delivery or not really what I need.

Managed to find various things on ebay so will order and let you know. Not looking for 100% accuracy as I suspect it's going to take some punishment.

Managed to cobble something together. Colours are a bit out and had a bit of a masking/overspray disaster but it’s all a learning experience.

We loved our original ones back in the day!

So many many happy hours racing them, we always used to clatter front wishbones by clipping each other in head on crashes though!

Hello folks!

I’ve been meaning to do a bit of post on this for too bloody long!

So, back when I was a teenager I was into RC cars, my first was a Tamiya Audi Quattro. I soon moved into aircraft.

I started out on a Mick Reeves Hawk, then completely out-stepped my ability with a Ken Stokes Mirus with an OS 45 FSR . I wrecked 3 in quick succession - much to my fathers chagrin ( he was funding it all). I was washing his car and cutting the grass to suppress rising tensions between father and son!

I gave up flying model aircraft once I’d passed my driving test and, women / cars became my focus.

But then the virus hit, and lockdowns, and needed something to do!

In the first lockdown I was idly googling one night, and I realised there was a chap who was reproducing the Mirus and I thought: “what the hell?”

I honestly thought I’d put the kit in a cupboard and forget about it. But when it arrived, there was no holding back.
