A time to reflect. Surely we have had enough of these boring pics of diecast model cars, sitting unmolested in their packaging, in a moment of fervour from the successful hunter as he/she displays their most recent kill. How dull are they, and how has this thread ended up in such a sterile place? Proper car pics are much better.

I have nowhere to keep them dust free so leave them in the boxes. Edited by Skyman on Tuesday 12th May 19:03

Where do you find the parts to mod them?!
I usually get wheels from Creative One64 & AliExpress for others. The decals on those I drew myself. The BASF M1 is just a conversion of an existing Hot Wheels Premium car.I need a few 3D printed wings as I've got some decals to make the Top Secret S15. They came from Ukraine.
Decals I draw myself but I do buy a lot. Recently, I've had loads off Instagram. Bought them from USA, Portugal & Italy.
Those look good value. I’ve bought some of the 3D printed inserts from eBay which fit inside Ikea frames but they aren’t particularly cheap and I haven’t found a satisfactory solution for the back board - the Ikea frames don’t come with a full plain white piece of paper so mine are backed by the basic brown hardboard at the moment.
I bought these from this seller: https://www.ebay.co.uk/str/3dshrimping?_trksid=p46...
Delivers quickly and arrives well packaged. The shelves clip together easily. They sell the IKEA frames as well but I d already bought them.
Well recommended!
Once assembled, you just load the cars in. I didn’t fix them in place but easy enough to do if you wanted to. Bear in mind you need some card to go behind them in the frame. I bought an A1 sheet of mounting card in Hobbycraft which worked well.
Thought I had to let the McMurtry show off a bit!
