My eyes lit up when I noticed the neat lines of cars in the Tesco bucket this morning. Could only mean it had been recently reloaded!

I ve been on the hunt for the Beast of Turin for a while. I thought I should get the Ferrari F1 car and I love Dinos. Didn t know there was a loose option. And the 911 is just a lovely casting.

3 for 2 as well. So I bought 4 hehe

I found the Ferrari F1 a while ago, and Ive been looking for the Beast for ages but not sure if it has filtered through to the shelves yet ?

Got this yesterday too, along with a Rothmans Porsche 914 rally car that's in the same set.

I find it so odd they have cars in this range that weren't in the films.

It's from Fast X apparently. Seems a bit of a tenuous link but if it gets the investment for a cool new casting signed off then I'm not going to complain.

At this point t I'd be more surprised if a car hasn't been in an FF film.

Looking forward to the Rover 214.

Yeah I saw that but it's a tenuous link at best rofl

There were untold cars in the first one during the street racing scene as well as the "scramble" in 2Fast but I don't think you should be slapping them in movie related packaging.

Agree on the casting though and once out of the packaging who knows the difference eh.

And the BMW with sprayed bumpers - took a bit of doing to get it back together, the back wasn't sitting right. I love the half-open driver's window - really hard to appreciate the detail without getting them out of the packet.

Next up will be the 635 CSI, which I think will look much better in a slinky mid/light grey. This has changed how I look at Hot Wheels; I think I'm going to be pickier about which I buy, but less picky about the colour and avoiding ones with fussy decoration.
That looks really good. I'm getting more into doing custom ones as bit of a rainy day hobby. It's the sort of thing you can do an hour on and then leave it and come back another time.I started with just changing and painting the wheels (shout out to Creative One 64 for those), then I start adding painted detail like lights and grilles where they were just plastic or body colour. I'm currently trying to make replica of my real car from a Majorette Golf GTI

Ta. I did pick out some of the grille and lights with an acrylic paint bush/pen thing - not perfect, but looks better at any sensible distance.

Exactly, it’s been a good time for Japanese estates recently.

My five year old discovered that I had quite a large collection at work, dwarfing his own.

Unfortunately i couldn't say no to his request for me to bring home some that he could see. Inevitably all those taken home have now been absorbed into his collection and thoroughly played with. Although the initial moment of him crashing some of my more treasured ones was tough, it's nice to see them being used and have now purged my collection with a select few (for now!!) remaining for display only, with the remainder added to the destruction derby that is the play room!

MiniGT and Pop Race are churning out RLC clones now. I think it works out cheaper than trying to buy RLCs on the open market.
