My son got excited at Aldi with his nan today...hes been after the Ferrari pack for a while.

My local Aldi just doesn't display them like this. We have small boxes of cars at the checkout alongside the mints and chewing gum. There's little chance of sorting through them for the cars you want.

Late on or first thing there's loads of time for quality rooting about at my local Aldi, never more than one till open, it's a far better bet then the other supermarkets with multiple boxes out

To be fair they are expecting them to be bought by a parent forced in to buying one to calm an irate 5 year old that has cracked the sts at being dragged round Aldi…not grown ups looking to add something specific to their collection

This is true. I doubt they’ve considered that they will have middle aged men sorting through the boxes for specific models.

Same here. Just pick the box up and take it to a closed till. You can can really go through the box and put them on the conveyer belt, then put back the ones you don't want.
They don't mind you doing that, but watch out in case they open the till you've gone to.

The staff at my local Aldis go through the boxes as soon as they're put out. Perk of the job.

Pretty good weekend for me, found these in various supermarkets:



I was particularly happy to find the Starion and the GT Treasure Hunt.


The newer Corvette goes nicely with the older.




I'm not sure which XJC I prefer. I bought the green with the intention of relacing the white but having them together I'm not sure which stays in the main collection and which gets relegated to the play collection.




The blue Volvo replaces the silver, which replaced the green.

We should have a swaps thread running. I have models I ve bought as part of a multi-buy offer that I don t really want. At the same time I have a list of models I want to find but just haven t given what s available locally.

Why is PH stripping apostrophes from my posts?

I think that’s a fun idea. Be nice to get shot of the premiums charged by scalpers. Could have a ‘wanted’ too, I’m happy to look through the boxes but there’s not much I’m after now.

Yeah- the red one (or the sage one).

Bury St Edmonds would be a 12 hour round trip! I'll find one in or around Glasgow eventually (I hope).

I find that the new boxes always take months and months to come here. I see new box reveals on Instagram all the time, and sometimes it's about 6 months later that I actually see any of the boxes in shops. It can be a frustrating hobby at times.

I think that s a fun idea. Be nice to get shot of the premiums charged by scalpers. Could have a wanted too, I m happy to look through the boxes but there s not much I m after now.

Maybe we should start a thread on the 'Ones that got away'.

My son loves minis, so I was checking Goodwood FoS, Tesco, Halfords etc. and then suddenly walked into the big toy shop there and they had basically every 2026 set and about 10 minis!
