I like that model, and I'm glad you got back to it after its long rest. Having lived in a town that had an annual travelling fair, and less than flat terrain, however; I think you've missed the "balanced imaginatively on old and scrounged orange boxes' part of the build. smile

I’m building the airfix Me 262 new tool. I wanted something quick and easy.
It’s a nice kit and the detail is good. The engineering is a bit lacking though and quite a bit of filler is going to be needed.

I really like the wheel well detail, how you can see the underside of the cockpit.

Me262 coming together. Fitting the engine nacelles was a complete ball ache.

The model went down really well at Bruntingthorpe for the Cold War Jets Open Day on Sunday. It was nice to get the model in front of the real deal.

What are these like to build? What paints do you use?

I fancy doing a model again as haven't done one in years but don't fancy a military one.

My local comic shop sells similar stuff so getting one isn't a problem.

They’re really easy to build, most just snap together. Extremely well engineered.
You can just chuck them together and they look ok, or glue them, sand the joints and add a pin wash and they look great, you can paint and weather them if you want to go to the next level.
A great way of getting back into model making. I have a collection of about 6 or so. My most recent was a 1/48 scale RX-78-2.

Wow! Yours is a fabulous model in illustrious company, both captured extremely well! You should rightfully be chuffed!
