Are there any actual registered fines for people not wearing masks yet?

That would be interesting , I haven't seen any in any tabloid journalism so I presume not.

WinstonWolf- of course I have. I still don’t think our government will try to fight the fight over mandatory vaccinations. Not now we know how COVID isn’t all that deadly. They’ve not bothered for far more serious illnesses so unless they went down the mandatory vaccination route for everything I don’t think they’d get very far. I may of course be totally wrong and will have to own that if it occurs.

I disagree

Forcing a vaccine to a western country for a reasonable minor virus is what I'd argue is a breach of human rights.

If having a vaccine is a condition of entry for France or Germany then I will be going to the Dark web to illegally purchase a "fake" certificate.
I agree. I don’t see them doing it though. They’ve not done it for childhood vaccinations despite the very real risks to other kids health. Doing it for Covid would be an odd place to start. I am happy (poor choice of word) to accept that I may well be very wrong on this.

It would be a lot easier to just get the vaccine for free. I doubt you’d need to go the dark web either, I’m sure you could knock out a fake yourself in a few minutes using photoshop and google image search.

went to the ivy for lunch, they have these neat face scanners on entry which read your temperature. you either then get a green light or a red light. the temperature read out displays on the screen.

good job i never went last week when i had an ear infection lol

no doubt once the pandemic is over they can be used for racial and political profiling to detect the risk of me blowing up the building.

no masks required though.

Interesting.

I had my temperature measured at a Restaurant in Newbury

It measured 33.5c

I suggested their machines were nothing more than a farce because if my true temperature was 33.5c then they need to immediately call 999 , and request a Coroner as I'd be dead!

You'd have to be terminally stupid to not be able to dodge a fine - the exceptions are so wide and difficult to disprove that you'd have to actively work at it to get in trouble.

a friend posted a pic of his wife and 2 children* at Harry Potter world today.

What a miserable sight, everyone masked up. Couldn't even tell if they were smiling.

They'll look back at that picture with fond memories.

Have you tried to call 999 and speak to a coroner?

Anyone else not too keen on the posts that say 'I didn't wear a mask so one in the eye for the man' etc. Not really something to be proud of.
Neither is blindly following ridiculous rules that have no basis in truth just to give yourself a nice big pat on the back.

Well done on the virtue signalling by the way.

PS, I wear a mask where I absolutely have to, which at the moment is filling it up with petrol.

I go online for everything else now and will continue to do so.

Am I kind of 'sticking it to the man' as you put it?

Pretty much where I'm at. Though I forgot mine at the weekend. Nobody cared.

i am with you.

But it is not up to me to persuade people to follow the laws of the land.

Given up trying to change anybody's mind, it is down to individuals. Happy to put a mask on for the amount of times I have to do it. Can count it in minutes over the course of a week.

I wear 1 at work more often than I wear 1 when I am not at work. Been doing it for years, never had any of this illness that is likely to be caught from wearing a mask, or struggled to breathe, or unable to communicate, or express facial gestures.

I just feel annoyed for those with genuine reasons not to wear 1, who might get challenged because too many others just won't wear 1. But such is life.

I do it quite often, what is the issue you have? Usually it is just a case of speaking clearer than maybe normal, and definitely slower.
