Any fellow Pistonheaders subscribing to the Panini Supercars?

God knows what’s been going on with it. I have been subscribing since the beginning but received nothing for 2 months. Apparently they are having issues with the latest issues. No st Sherlock. Car models look good but the service is getting piss poor. Tempted to cancel my subscription but only got about 20 issues more to go until the collection is complete.

I'm subscribing to the Panini 1/8th F40. Very expensive, but I collect F40 models, so had to have it.

I get regular emails from them, explaining that they are having supply and distribution problems, which I guess is understandable since most of the parts are made in China, and shipping is a real problem right now with the lack of passenger flights - an awful lot of freight is shipped in the holds of regular passenger planes.

The last email I received said that they hoped to be back on track by the end of this month.

The only email I've had from them was the tell me the subscription was going up. To be fair they do reply reasonably quickly when I have emailed them but it would of been nice to know something was amiss.

This week's Centauria Supercars 1:43 model was supposed to be number 51 Lamborghini Asterion - postponed because of supply issues. Instead I received number 52 which is a red Toyota GT One 1998.

I ordered mine via my local independent Newsagent who has reliably supplied all of mine since issue 26. Next issue though won't be with us until early December according to the people at Tunbridge Wells who import the models.

My independent newsagent's wholesale supplier is W H Smith. Ironically my local retail W H Smith ditched the Supercars series without notice at issue 25 as the computer won't allow them to order them even as a special order. Crazy or what?!

From being one every two weeks the last few models have been spaced to every three weeks. Next one six weeks. As there are approx 70 models in the series the next 18 could take two more years to reach customers.... I'm not sure I've got that much patience.

Yeah that’s exactly what happened with my last delivery, no 51 but 52 arrived instead. I’m the same as I’m running out of patience but have the ‘Mastermind’ philosophy “I’ve started so I’ll finish” biggrin
