I've just built this old Cambria Eagle glider kit.

That looks really nice. Have you flown it yet?

I was wondering that - it looks lovely and I bet it will be a smooth flyer, will you slope it or bungee/tow?

In other news...... I have finally finished my Hollien "Slope Infusion" winter build and my first decent sized balsa build beyond Chuck gliders, the kit was fantastic and very high quality......

I have enjoyed the build and am pleased with the result, I plan on taking it on my holidays next week, which was the plan all along due to the availability of the case (pictured) which makes it much more appealing to own. Came in at 890g

I will be maidening it tomorrow - here's hoping I don't stuff it like I did my last glider maiden....

3 pics.... in its case, out of its case and lit up (at 25%)..... Should be easy to spot

No, I haven't flown it yet. I usually fly power models but I do like flying gliders from a slope.

Opps - Look what arrived this morning. Best hide from SWMBO as the glider collection is getting a bit out of hand now...

This is the intended colour scheme - just waiting for the trim coverings now...

Ha ha - oops!

As long as you don't trip and fall into another woman (oops!) you'll be alright I reckon!

Hide it - then fly it and dirty it up a bit - tell her you got it second hand... Cheap... Or tell her it's just cheap Chinese foam crap and "these servos Are dead ace for only £3.00 from bangood" etc etc

For example - we went away for a Fortnite to a holiday let on the llyn peninsula (returned yesterday) coincidentally it was very handy for some coastal sloping action.

I took two models (always take something) both very recent...........the conversation went like this
Her - "Ohh that looks nice - is it new?"
Me - "New to me yes but I bought it used on eBay and ripped the electrics out of an old one. It was quite expensive new and it's taken a lot of work to repair"

She thinks my arrma infraction is a Chinese clone that cost half as much......

And I came home and exclaimed I had bought a Renault Clio 182 for "just over a grand" the other week.... "It's very shiney" - "yes it's only done 52k"

Obviously none of these work but she humours me.......
