A fine selection there Dusty!
I have a pre-order in for 2 of the re release of the c11 Mercedes Benz which I am very much looking forward to getting later this year...
I am off to my local tamiya purveyor tomorrow on an unrelated matter and seeing as I haven't bought a new rc model for nearly a month i quite fancy a Blitzer Beetle or a Wild One.....
I need a C11 in my life but I'm reading/hearing they're sold out... despite some still appearing to be available for Pre-Order?!I have a pre-order in for 2 of the re release of the c11 Mercedes Benz which I am very much looking forward to getting later this year...

My 7.2v NiMH packs are dead, they’ll accept a bit of a charge, but die as soon as they are in the car. Any advice for good make, or place to buy. I need Deans connectors.
Can these be recycled? Welshbeef said:
They need to up their game it’s not right serial buyers or those who sit online and buy the job lot get them vs everyone else. Build more
Only one of the two I ordered are coming it would seem! from the same supplier which is fair enough, I ordered mine the day after it was announced- I'm a big fan of this type of car and ordered two so I could have one as scale as possible with lights and cockpit etc etc with a plan to weather it.
And the other as a user - no doubt plenty will be on eBay for multiples of RRP which is a shame but I'm not keen enough to be paying over the odds.... Their already not cheap for what they are tbh

Being housebound after a shoulder op is proving expensive:
Scania 6x40
FlySky FS-I6X
Beier SFR-1
Speaker
Loads of LEDs
3 Days into the build so far. I'd forgotten just how enjoyable Tamiya RC models are to put together!
Once complete you will need something to tow, more expense Scania 6x40

Then there all the alloy upgrades.
After a year of not building anything I am just about to finish the Monster Beetle and I have just ordered a Hotshot from Jadlam.
I know the guy who owns Jadlam is on here, if you read this, just want to say your customer service is superb. My points expired last month and emailed into your customer service who reinstated them for me. Needless to say I spent another £260 with you!

I’ve always had Tamiya RC stuff, currently have a monster beetle, 2x top force (one original and one rerelease) and an original Hi lux.
Been thinking about a new Hi lift too compare, any one got one?
I'd love an original Hi lux. I couldn't afford them when I was younger, and now they have gone up to silly money!Been thinking about a new Hi lift too compare, any one got one?

Its not in the best of condition as we were too young at the time to appreciate it and take the care required, Bumpers bent, couple of cracks in the body, drivers face had fallen off iirc.
Not thought of it for many years till I read this post, must hunt it out next time I am up there. No idea what they are selling for now but presume mine would not be worth much in the state in is in.

I gave away my original Sand Scorcher from the early 80's to a mate who really love VW's. It was only after I gave it to him I found out it was worth about £500!

Just seen how much unbuilt boxed kits are priced at on eBay, bl**dy hell!!
Think I still have the original box (if my folks haven't chucked it), but the car is in a bit of a state. Looks like it might still be worth a few quid.
Will hunt it down next time I visit and post up some photos if I find it.
Don't particularly want to sell so might look into restoring it if that is possible - imagine parts are like hen's teeth with prices to match though.

The Scania build is done - it was loads of fun to put together. I've added some extra lights and decals, and I plan on a few more LEDs to make it sparkle
I'm also on the process of 3D printing parts for a lowboy trailer, we'll see how successful that is or whether I get my wallet out and buy one off the shelf.
The "Rolling Stone" decal is a nod to one of my father-in-law's Scanias, he has quite an impressive collection of 1:1 scale lorries.

Has anybody built a Wild One? I'm quite tempted by the Block Head Motors edition. Is it a fun build?
I had a Tamiya Falcon back in the day and looking at there makes me really want to build one again. I was 13 when I built the Falcon, be a massive nostalgia hit to build another one 35 years later.I was actually surprised how cheap these are now, I am sure batteries and ball race sets are cheaper now than they were in the mid 80s.
Not even sure I actually want to use it and I am not sure what I would do with it when it was finished, but I do have an overwhelming desire to get one and relive Christmas 1986
Here is a Wild One, but in 1 : 1 scale, hope this has not been posted before :

I guess in GB you could even try the "road legal" kit ?
