Getting close to the first show of our year at the Shuttleworth Collection, down Biggleswade way. Sunday 16th Feb. Always an anticipated and thoroughly enjoyable show, we've been exhibiting for decades now.
Bring your Christmas money for plastic, tools, paints, museum entry, food from the cafe!
Dress warm...assume arctic temps in the exhibition hangar!

Hi Spotted. Well, our tables will be skewed toward shiney two and four wheeled contraptions but the venue and vast majority of that displayed will be winged things and military.
The museum and workshops are definitely worth a visit but again, apart from a couple of veterans and vintages, it's an air museum.
It's a great show and we enjoy it more out of tradition than anything else I suppose, having seen it all before, anually...if you're at a REALLY loose end and the driving appeals we'd love to see you..!

Next Sunday...as long as you're reading this post this week....
Anyway, great show in the hangars, on the mezzanine (our club rightfully is awarded a premium place on the mez..)and under the wings. Barbecue, cafe, real plywood and ickle plastic planes. And cars. Ickle. And military. Plastic. Definitely resin and pe content.
Seriously, lovely day out, lots to see and wander past and through.

That poster however does highlight something which happens with a lot of club and society posters in that they fail to actually say where it is. Yes I know it says at the De Havilland museum but unless you actually know where in the country it is located it could be anywhere. It does only take a few seconds to Google and find out but putting the address on the poster means people can instantly see if it’s viable to get to or if it’s too far away to even consider.
For all our whinging about the cold hangar, inevitable blustery gale blowing rain sideways between carpark and venue, we welcome the sight of our first show of the year!
Shuttleworth, Biggleswade, Sunday Feb 15th.
Model club displays and traders to replenish exhausted winter stock levels. Not a huge show but the good cafe and excellent indoor museum compensate nicely. And of course tea and bacon sarnies.
