1/43 Diecast Collectors - Who else is here?

. .. When I have too much stuff I start getting antsy and go on a selling binge ...
I'm the same, currently I'm sorting out a load of Vanguards and F1s to sell, even some of the 1950s Americana despite not having had them for very long. I'm now restricting the collection to certain ones, for reasons I'll explain when I start a new thread rather than clutter up this one.Looking at the display cases and collections, I thought I would get mine together in a display case with lights, after wanting too for more than 20 years, I built a IKEA Besta black box with a glass door and glass shelf with some LED lights in the lounge, apart from the kids saying why is there a microwave in the frontroom, I am happy with it.
All 1/43, I will do a picture of the display case when I get a chance later,
The bottom shelf is a home for these, taken in 2007 when I stuck them on the window sill on a rainy day, added to the ferrari’s since and started collecting some Porsche and a couple of Mclaren F1’s 1/43 scale.
Time for new pictures.

Quick question:
I've been wanting to get a collection together of late '70's / '80's Group 5 / 6 & Group C cars in 1:43. I loved the liveries of the BMWs, 956's, Lancias and Saubers at the Silverstone 6 hours and 1000 kms races.
I picked up an HPI NewMan 956 from the Porsche museum years ago, and it's a lovely model, but exensive. I really want 'kerbside' models, to but in a long case to show off the liveries.
On Friday, I found a Kouros Sauber for £20 at a toy fair. No idea of the make, but the quality is good enough (but not up to HPI or Minichamps standards).
I know that Spark do a series of 956's, of similar quality, with many of the liveries I want (Skoal, Marlboro, Rothmans, Canon etc), but the prices vary from about £20 to over £100, for seemingly exactly the same models, sometimes in different boxes. Also, there are Quartzo, Vitesse, CMR and Scale Werk versions which seem almost identical mouldings, but again these vary wildly in price.
There's a "Stefan Bellof" series, again for about £20 a piece, which even has a "Silverstone 1000kms Winner 1984" livery, but that wasn't actually the winning car - it finished 10th. It'a all a bit of a mystery.
So, does anyone know the provenance of these models, and the best place to buy them. Budget is c. £30 for each model.
Thanks!

That Kouros Sauber is from Max Models, never heard from them, but quality seems good enough for what it is and the costs
After some research, it's actually from IXO/Altaya (it came in a case with a card at the back with a photograph of the car and details on the reverse (but no manufacturer name). The Max models version has different printing on the tyres, and other small differences. After a bit more research, I came across this:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_model_car_br...
So according to that, IXO is also branded as a load of other makes, which might explain the huge number of seemingly identical models and associated massive price differences.
Caveat Emptor.

In response to SAB88, clearly a Lambo fan with a great collection here is mine. Only one 1:43 though.
That's a great photo, I'm really envious of the 1:1, utterly beautiful. Yes I love Lamborghinis and do have a fair sized collection including something sent to me many years ago by a certain Mr Balboni. orangeLP400 said:
Mr Balboni! That is something to cherish. What a man and what a wonderful ambassador for Lamborghini.
Yes next to Ferruccio himself, Valentino must be at the very top of important people who were involved in the early days of the marque. I think he officially retired after 40 years but still has connections with the company and attends various events. Apparently test drove three out of every four cars made. What a job!A couple of Le Mans cars dug out today. Firstly the 1964 Triumph Spitfire (from Spark) which came third in class behind the Alpines. The team was run by my Dad so this is a special one:
Then a nice older model of the Ford GT40 1969 winner from Jouef. I don’t know much about the manufacturer but the model looks good, and opens up:

Black back dround works so well, really brings out the colours/detail of each carI've got around 120ish cars to fill a wall display I need to design and build
Had a vision in my mind of how it should look but your display has made me rethink, thanks for posting it up

I had been looking at set ups in IKEA for a while, decided to press the button and go for it this Christmas.
Really happy with it. Might do another one soon same spec for my 1/64, I was really happy with the LED light strips inside. I got a white and a separate multicoloured LED installed. Not expensive at all in relation to other cabinets I was researching.
