Ghostbusters Cadillac converted to a hearse, started prior to 1995 and finally finished yesterday:

Lots of shaving and filling on the bodywork, wooden deck to replace the rear interior, racks inside and on the roof made using brass boat fittings and rod, '57 Chevy wheels and tyres to give it a more formal look.
After I did all the foil brightwork I then broke the glass. Since then it's languished in a state of partial completion until I managed to buy a cheap(ish) donor kit. Having a glass-less shell gives me a perfect excuse to build the donor as a banger.

I Bought a cheap Aston Martin DB4 Zagato (1:18) by road signature, not the best of its type, but a fair reflection of the car, I bought it knowing 1 wheel was missing, figuring I could display it from one side, but when it arrived, things were worse!
The seller was very understanding and issued a refund, but that left me with a 1 wheeled car( I could cope with 3, but 1...tricky!)
I found a chrono Aston Martin DB5 for cheap online and stole it’s wheels....the fronts don’t steer, and the backs don’t turn, as the hubs were completely different, but they look slightly better than the originals anyway:
Looks ok for a static model

My lad bought me this for Christmas - he's 8 and loves his animals so can see why it got his attention. Knocked it together over a couple of weekends

Inspired by a magazine article on an Aussie's pioneering crossing of the Simpson desert in something that isn't a Landcruiser...obvs a Porsche pr stunt but a good story. Started the model when the 996 was new....not an exact replica but calling it done now.
Nice one GG!Thanks Laurel. Like your lovely Caddy hearse, it feels good to tie up a long standing loose end. Shame on me that I'm creating loose ends faster than ticking them off!
Built the Johan '68 (?) Cadillac hearse a looooong time ago. Polished black, satin vinyl roof, mahogany casket, wreath, and bmf for the very first time...never looked back, always have a couple of sheets in stock!

Very nicely done. I’m really enjoying all these modified models.

That does look good. How much modification did you do?
Thanks! Not much, in parallel with the real car: spacers between subframes and body to gain ground clearance, made the roof rack, drew and printed the odd-looking wheels..the rest is a wash, dry brush and final mist of humbrol aerosol sand to make it dusty.
