the Iraq landrover scene has brought back some memories from 2004! Very accurate
Thanks very much. That is the highest praise I could ever hope for.

This was an all time favorite build. The parts are incredibly accurately laser cut down to must be micrometers, and no glue required at any point. And the kit was super cheap.

I bought this 1/700 Tamiya water line Kursk kit when I was on holiday in Devon.
I didn’t really want it, but the kids wanted something from the shop and there was a minimum card spend. (I really must try and have cash more often)

I took it to my club to see if anyone wanted it and got no takers, so I decided to build it.

I went to wickes and bought a sample tile for 99p and started painting it green and blue to look like the sea.
I used this single part fake water I have had knocking around for a while.

That was a complete fail and ended up being scraped off into the bin (I’d put it on too thick in one go)
Second attempt went much better. I waited to it to go off a bit and used a hair dryer to try and simulate waves.
In the meantime I built and painted the sub. There couldn’t have been more than 10 parts.
I put the sub in position on the tile.

Once that was dry I used some white oil paint to simulate the wake.
I was quite pleased with the outcome. It’s a bit scruffy under close scrutiny, but not too bad from a couple of feet.

Finally. This is the box art I was trying to replicate.

Sorry I had to delete quite a few pics as I had written a phone number down on my cutting mat.

Sorry.

Nice sub

My latest helicopter, the Italeri Merlin finished as an HM2

I was attempting the multi coloured grey finish seen on most RN Merlins, hope you like it

Very nice job !

Did you miss some masking tape on one of the windows, or is it a blind?

That is very cool. I have proper models of all my cars, but never saw a trailer before...would be grateful if you could let me know who makes it:

Yes Ferrisb is right, the open starboard door and a grassy garden in view

Still some lovely work coming in here although I don't spend enough time on PH as I would like

GMP make one, complete with front tyre rack. There are others available, too, obviously.
