There's some really great work on show here.

After a hiatus of decades, built a Red Arrows Hawk then a Typhoon last year, both cheap Airfix.

That got me back interested and bought a Tamiya Subaru WRC and an Italiera Lancia Integrale rally car last Christmas

The Scooby went together quite well, a few failings on my behalf but happy with the end product.

The Lancia on the other hand has been shoved back in the box, in the loft, three-quarter built never to be seen again.
I will say the transfers are better but other than that it was hopeless. It looked at first glance like a simpler kit but the reality was somewhat different, why they had to have one opening door, yet NO engine, just the exhaust dangling under the engine bay? One small part to be installed inside, after the body was installed on the floorpan! If you don't get the roll cage aligned perfectly then the opening door won't fit.a the hinge area is compromised. And the fit and panel gaps are worse than the Lancia originals.

Lesson learnt, but Tamiya.

If you want a good-looking Stratos take a look at the Hasegawa versions. The only scary part of the build was stretching the body over the chassis (anyone who has built this will know what I mean) but the end result looks spot on.

Very nice.
I was going to do the Italieri Stratos next but given up on that idea. The Integrale body had to be stretched over the floor pan/interior, and wouldn't close on the floor once there. Probably the tight fit roll cage which being slightly off alignment (my fault I guess) wouldn't allow the body to fit because of the hinge mech for the stupid opening driver door.

I took this along to Biggleswade earlier this year. It got snapped by the nice man from Airfix model world and made it into this month’s edition. Needless to say I am quite pleased.

Bora!
Simplified, motorised EdaiGrip kit from the 70s.
The body moulding has great crisp detail but in the raw looked too flat and wide, happily much less-so now it's painted. Wanting to lacquer over a panel of lighlty abraded bare metal foil to replicate the ss roof panel, going against convention I ended up applying and lacquering over all the chrome trim with no issues to report.

The kit sported 'racing spoilers' which were simply left off but worse were horrid federal bumpers which forced the making of the Euro spec front bumper/grilles and Trident badge plus seriously slimming down the rear bumper. Lots of tweaks to get it to sit right and I'm chuffed with it.
Tamiya aerosol clear over Halfords spray.
Thanks to Google images for help with colour choice!

Not my good models. But was helping clear stuff out of my parents loft recently and came across these.

Solido Pink Cadillac

Matchbox Sierra Cossie and 750iL

Matchbox 500SEC and "Group C racer" biggrin

Burago Countach and a Matchbox monster truck

Matchbox hot rods.

I'm keeping the cossie. No clue why as I have a very nice Minichamps 1/18 Texaco Touring car one as well. Nostalgia I guess biggrin

Rest are getting binned. There's obviously no boxes (which matters to collectors) And the pics make them look in better condition than real life.

Charity shop surely?

I fondly remember that Challenger, remained in the range for decades in first standard and then hot-rod form! Guess the BMW 7 series was tied with that Brosnan Bond that featured the remotely controlled "sevenhundredandfifty"..

I've got the pink Cadillac, complete with an Owen miniatures drive-in waitress on roller skates, not a bad model.

That 750 looks oddly proportioned, somehow.

Boot slightly too long, I'd say.

You know it's just a Matchbox toy laugh

Saying that, the real car has a longer boot than I remember. (1988 model btw)

[quote=The Hypno-Toad]My two Jordans.

The latest re-releases from Minichamps with the improved decals and better detailing.

The Schumacher is one of 1022 and is living in the display cabinet. The Gachot is one of only 220 and is staying in the box.

Speaking of Gachot, the Spark Coloni-Subaru is due soon and when it does arrive I’ll post my collection of rubbish F1 cars. Might even post my JPS Lotuses as well. [url]|https://thumbsnap.com/r

And I bet they both cost the earth too! I'm astonished these days at the stratospheric price of diecasts - to the extent that I haven't bought a new one for over ten years.

(Close on 100 secondhand ones though.)

Those two were 62 euros each which I didn't think was too bad. I use this guy who is very helpful and offers a discount scheme to regular purchasers.

https://www.miniboutik.com/en/

He is still showing the Gachot but its bound to sell out shortly.

I don't "trade" models as such but if I can I always buy two of the cars that I was going to buy for collection anyway and then the plan is to put them on eBay later. Now I have at least two Minichamps that are being offered for £169.00 and two Spark that over the £200 mark. If I will get that we will have to wait and see but I did catch a cold on an Arnoux Ligier but still managed to get what I paid for it.

The two most popular drivers as far as prices are concerned are not Schumacher & Senna but De Chesais and De Angelis which is a surprise. However, I do wish I'd bought two of the Mansell JPS 1983 car because unlike the other cars that have his name on it, its rising rapidly towards three figures.

I just photographed this one to show a friend so thought I might as well share it with you lot.

1968 Lamborghini Espada by Politoys in 1/43 scale

The rear window does open, but just falls shut again.

I added a few little details such as lights, badges, intakes, holes in the wheels etc. Perhaps I should have done the grille at the rear also.

It was only after taking these pics that I realised I have had this model for over 50 years! And still got the original box.

That's weird seeing the Espada, I have a SMTS white metal Espada and I painted it an almost identical colour. I've had the unfinished model in a tin for a few years and I must find the time to finish it.

It's the earlier E32 shape. Bond used the E38. I think I've got the same model somewhere at my parents house though I'm pretty sure mine is missing the front grille.

Pre-ordered this back in around March 2018 and it was subsequently delayed by the manufacturer over and over again. Finally received it yesterday!

1:43 Goodsmile Racing Hatsune Miku AMG GT3 (2017 Super GT GT300 Champion)

Detail on it is crazy for 1:43 scale, but I'm not surprised considering the livery laugh
