Even though I'm not much of a Schumacher fanboi, this is very nice!
Do you care to share how high your bid was?
£55 plus auction fees so £66 tots.

Difficult to actually find but they sell for between £250 and £500
Just wow...., good deal

Had fun rigging this one
However, I am now barred from posting on the news/politics site, as I do not have enough posts.
I have only posted where I felt I had something to contribute, but it seems this is not enough.
I tried a bit of light hearted upping my post numbers on the feedpack page, only to find I am now barred from that.
So I am out- stuff it.
Does Piston Heads want newish members? I have my doubts- it seems to be the preserve of mega-post trollers.
Goodbye, and thanks for all the fish.

A few I've completed building in the last 6 months or so:

Tamiya Subaru WRC in 1/24 scale

Tamiya Mitsubishi Evo VI WRC in 1/24 scale

Tamiya Mclaren MP4/7 in 1/20 scale (bodywork was a pig to get to fit correctly)

Tamiya Nissan R390 GT1 in 1/24 scale

I've also got a couple I have just finished but haven't got round to taking any photos of yet, an AMG GT3 in bonkers Goodsmile livery and a Revell Mercedes C-class DTM car, I've been busy! Thanks for looking.

Thanks smile I'm not making another! I tried to interest a model company in making a kit version of it but they said it was too difficult.

I'd quite like to make 'Turbinia' but again, no kits it seems.

Airfix Westland Whirlwind as an HAR10 serving in Borneo during the Confrontation.

Please excuse bendy rotor blade, even now it still doesnt want take up a decent curve, bent in the box off eBay.

XP329 served the Ghurkas and other infantry troops during the 'affair' and she is seen here bearing Ghurka Rifles emblems on her troop door and bears 225 sqn's badge on the nose.

Lots of modifications from the original piston engined Whirly, hope she is welcome.

I posted this in the Lepin topic but thought I would post it in here as well.

Obviously no talent in the slightest required from me unlike some of the beautiful modelling work in here, but definitely a superb piece of Lego design and engineering from RoscoPC.

Looks great. cool

Which model are you using as the base? The Minichamps 1/18 M3s are quite expensive, the Solido are quite reasonable.

Are the decals readily available online?

This was the base I used, an Altaya ex-magazine car from France. Had to fill in the tow eyes in the front & rear bumpers.

As you say, the Minichamps ones are way to expensive and the Solido ones are a good alternative. I already had this as a spare in my stock to use. The Solido ones have low quality wheels and I think have sunroofs, which I though the race cars didnt.

I drew the decals myself but don't sell them. I drew the other 3 myself aswell.
