All the Trophies in my budget 3-4k are pretty tired and leggy.

Unless you're doing many track days and care loads about depreciation... I would be fine with a normal 182. I'm on my second one now and very happy!

That looks like in great condition,but i think you need a Trophy,judging from what you have in your garage a 182 cup isn't going to be that special,it would feel like a normal hatchback,a Trophy on the other hand is more special and would be something memorable,as said there isn't much between them but you are buying once so i would go with the specialness the Trophy offers.

Anyway you decide whats a better buy,just my thoughts above.

TBH a 172 Cup would be my choice.

All I remember of my Trophy was crashbangwallop - all the time, every journey. The ride was truely awful.

Sure you have to compromise but it was ridiculous.

If I was having the that time over again it'd deffo be the 172 Cup.

You should try a Mk2 Focus RS - what I bought next. Makes the Trophy feel like a limo.



Saying that, are you sure your dampers were ok? Mine was very fidgety when they went wrong.
