Well the little Ax smashed her MOT with ZERO comments.
I discovered the paper stickers are still attached to the rear suspension beam and the original paint is still on the lower seam edges of the sills. There are zero stains on the white paint under the car and the engine/g-box has never seen an oil leak....MoT guy said he had never seen an unrestored car like it (other than my Activa which came from the south of France).....amazed by this little beaut and all for less than a full tank of fuel !
All finished and now with her new local owner..I do still wish I had kept it however.

So my Dad bought this a few weekends ago, its one of very very few cars I've seen him get excited about. Apparently its one of two left in the country. A Renault 17 Gordini with one owner. it'll be restored and back on the road. Pretty excited for him really, he used to be a Renault mechanic in his younger years.

For some weird reason I am liking both the classic 70's styling and the colour DS197 said:

It's a response vehicle for the recovery firm, used normally for being the first person to get to accidents on the motorways etc - the more stickers you have the quicker you get through to the accident and the quicker it gets cleared.
