Congratulations!

Convincing people to believe the hype is going to get really boring, partly because it`s not the kind of car you can nip around the block in with someone and immediately wow them with!

Mapping is entirely down to preference but I would really recommend the bigger disc conversion from Ktec and the shortshift kit from them too (which happens to be a modified Renault part anyway)

Oh alright then

I've had the grey one for a while now, it's my fav car I've ever had, super reliable so much fun but oh sooo loud.
The red one I actually won on the Rtoc raffle. Totally standard phase one (bar the exhaust) 54 thousand miles pretty rare if you ask me.

I LOVE Clios but this is a true "giant killer", on dry tarmac in the Alps I would fancy my chances in this over pretty much anything at any price!

Hello Folks,

The daily...

Not missed a beat in over 6 years of ownership, a recent belt and water pump
change indicate it's a keeper. thumbup

The project...

More or less a nut and bolt resto. Will be brought to mint, but still with
the urge to drive it and enjoy it. Currently with engine and gearbox out
and bodywork being blocked after a strip back to bare metal.

Regards,
Steve

Great, good for you if you never had to suffer the standard gear change!

Nice!

I like the Laguna Coupe and a good friend's brother had a GT Turbo (company car, those were the days) that we used to borrow. I had an 11 Turbo at the time.

Remap
Decat
Larger intercooler
Uprated brakes all round
Carbon spoiler
Light weight track wheels with 888's
Samco dump valve
Alpine head unit BOOOOO! But I needed hands free bluetooth.

I have no idea if it has a shift mod but the gear change seems fine to me.

I was tempted by the decat but my God is it in a stupid place incase of needing to replace for MOT emmisions!

It will be interesting to see how long you keep it, I'd say a long while, they feel so much more "special" than you could imagine for the money!

We've had some of the same cars, Z3MC and CSL

Was out in Herts/Essex back roads early last sunday following a 458 Speciale, Very tricked up E92 M3 and a well driven and fettled C63. In those circumstances the Trophy easily matches them but I was deeply impressed by the Ferrari. Very rare to see one driven like that and its just a weapon. I suspect on any more open roads the Speciale would be ballistic. 600+ BHP, huge grip, super fast transmission and some very clever electronics.

Definitely a right road / right car scenario isn`t it but the Megane seems to suit the kind of roads that I like best, I see that you have had a GTR that was the same spec as the one I have now, I`m SURE the GTR wouldn`t see which way the Megane went after 3 miles of some Alpine roads though I`m sure a Speciale would be a different story!
