Almost finished my 2.2 306 gti6 build. 92mm crank x 87mm bore, forged internals, 45mm jenveys, pt82 cams, pulleys etc. Replaced roof with a non-sunroof skin and resprayed it all. Had it fired up with the Emerald K6 messing about with a basemap, now decided to piss oil out from somewhere. Fun.

Will get finished eventually.

Love the DS4

Great looking car, very different and the interior is really special.

Congrats.

I posted my DS4 further up and love it to bits too. Only seen 1 other on the road and I think that was the local dealer on a test drive.

Having the plug in performance line plus is brilliant. I so rarely visit the petrol station these days. We drove to Hanover in the summer and it was great on a long drive. Really comfortable and get out without aches and pains.

Not really found much to complain about. The remote air conditioning is really good on the current cold mornings. I'm yet to use the second screen for anything other than drawing books. Guess I need to read the manual more!

The bodyshop (Protek in Bathgate) said it's a bit worse than expected around the fuel filler area but it's actually pretty normal so I'd be expecting that in most 172's and 182's.

Bear that in mind if you're going to fork out big money for one. Should make mine quite appealing if I ever do decide to sell, which, given I'm going to this trouble, I don't intend to. hehe

I've never seen one like that, but hats off for doing it properly. I paid strong money for my 172 Cup this year but was fortunate enough to see it with the sills off to see how clean it was beforehand. A real shame that rust is starting to take hold of many of them now.

Think the only way you're seeing most of that is by actually cutting the rear quarter panel off given it's behind it rather than the removeable sill covers.

Is Protek where Kev Gallagher (gally) works? Their work is incredible.

Yes that's the one, top man.

Not to clog up the thread any further but here's an update on the same area today-

Took the plunge and finally bought a Renault Sport Spider, been after one since seeing it doing parade laps around Monaco at the GP in 1996. This was the UK press car, owned by Renault until last year, so was on TV a few times and in magazines over the years including VB-H on Fifth Gear.

Love the Spider, congratulations.
