Having had a look at that I find those numbers a little difficult to believe. If you enter 10,000 miles, 24 months, £1000 deposit, the Final Payment (GFV) is listed at £11,768. Is it just me or does that seem too cheap for a 2 year old RS Megane with 20k miles on it? Going by Autotrader values, could you not buy the car at the end of the PCP for £11,768, sell it for ~ £15k and pocket the £3200, which makes the whole venture come in at a total cost of about £3k?

I understand with the new model Megane being released it may push the values of these down, however if it turns out to be st, couldn't it actually slow the depreciation of these, as they're so well regarded. Lots of man maths here of course.
It's going to be worth a bit more than the GFV, especially with Recaro's.

Build time is approx 4 months. Was hoping for a bit quicker than that.

Does anyone know what the servicing schedule is on the Megane 275? Wondered if it's worth £399 for the 3yr service pack...?

Yes but you will have to pay for the Recaros in the first place, presumably at full list over the term. Probably easier to buy the car cash (with Recaros) at those take away prices. Similar overall cost I reckon with a bit more flexibility with the cash route and at least you can track it, which is the point of the Cup-S.

Not sure about servicing, I have the same dilemma! It's 24 months or 12.5k whichever comes first so probably not worth it depending on yearly mileage, will look into it.

Oh, and a good point about the future Megane RS. I am praying it will be 5dr only, auto only and 4wd, for selfish value retention purposes !

I wouldn't worry about the service pack unless you are doing the mileage, the 3 year pack is limited to 30k miles. If you are going to do 25k in the 3 years it's not bad value, first service is oil + Filter, air filter, cabin filter and the second service is all of that + Coolant and Brake fluid.

If you're going to do >25k in the 3 years just pay for the service as you need it.

Bluechilli lease deal seems to have disappeared. This one looking good though, free metallic paint by the looks of things.

Thanks for that - at 8000 miles a year I guess I am only likely to ever going to need 1 service before the expiry of the 3 years or will I at least the brake fluid (required at 3 years irrespective of mileage I presume) - that might not swing things anyway.

Cheers.

Just had call back from the dealer (they matched the Broker4cars price yesterday and also talked about a 0% finance offer too!) - Unfortunately the 0% doesn't apply to the RS though biggrin

Can't decide what to do - the thought of waiting 4 months puts me off - I know I'll change my mind. Wish they just had one in the back cupboard, to my ideal spec... mmmm

Coolant and brake fluid are at year 4 or 25k so you might get away with just the one service TBH.

£17300 for a brand new Cup-S, or have I misunderstood?

What would you do? I ordered my cup s with akra, ohlins, recaros and r link, v2 monitor etc back in early February and at the time the best broker price was around 26k which my dealer got within a few quid of. Since Nick let us know about his deal it seems I can spec the same car for almost 2k less. If other dealers are now matching the brokers 4 car deal should I be trying to renegotiate my deal. 2k is a lot of money even though did shake hands on the deal which was very good at the time. Albeit my car is due until early June.

Hi everyone, I am new to this forum and looking at buying a megane this weekend, is the cup s 275 the pick of the Renault sports?
What deal do you think is achievable as it is not end of quarter or year?

If you want something that is comfy, don't look at the Cup-S, as it's not. If you want something quick, tactile and fun then it's what you want.

Great deals are to be done. Spend a day or so playing on the configurator and get what you want in your mind perfectly. Personally, for daily-ing I would spec:
Keyless Entry
Climate pack (gives you climate control, auto lights and auto wipers, plus the std dials don't look "right" to me)
Stick with the 18's.
Recaro's. Expensive, but totally worth it. They're super comfy and they look great.
R link, it's the only thing I wish mine had, but the current system, esp with RS montior is really good.

The Akrapovic exhaust is worth a look at too, but it is pricey, as are the Ohlins dampers.

Drive one, you'll love it. I would have a look on car broker websites like drivethedeal and the like so you can go in, be polite and know roughly what you can get it for if you really push.

Sorry, nothing to do with me.

Your best best is locating which dealer local to you is an RS specialist as they will have a target to hit and I think they have more margin than a normal dealer.

I sure as hell can't compete with brokers on RS stuff.

My thinking is that unless you are happy with a base spec Cup-S (new for ~£20k), it may make sense to go for a lightly used 275 Trophy for around £22k which has all/most of these options as standard.

I was in the same boat back in December, a new Cup S, or a lightly used trophy. I settled for a standard 265 as they were much cheaper and the perfect one came up, but each to their own.
