Citroen C6 turbos

It looks like my C6 needs new turbos. I believe they are Garrett GTA15VVNT, but are they the same for both banks?

Anyone got any recommendations for a supplier? My garage is happy to install supplied parts so I'm taking a look in case we can do it cheaper this way.

What engine? Is that the 2.7 diesel? If so, that's the PSA unit. I don't know if the spec is different, but that engine was used in Peugeots (308 and 407 coupe I think), plus Jags like the x358 and S-Type as well as Land Rovers such as the D3 and RRS.

Yes. The 2.7 diesel v6.

Afaik it is the same but googling the Garrett code doesn't bring much up

It would mean more time off the road but if yours or just worn rather than damaged I'd get them rebuilt. There is bound to be a local specialist who can help.

Either pull them off & send them to Universal Turbo's for a refurb, probably about £800 a pair.

Or if you want new ones, just pop in to Citroen and ask the parts department, they love the C6 and rare and appreciated by the service department. They will give you the turbo model codes for free, you might even be surprised at the price for a new pair

We have decided on reconditioned turbos, and I'm likely going to acquire some second hand ones as well to then refurb and have on the shelf just in case
