Following on from one of my other threads, here is the 206 that I have just bought for the huge sum of £250! 1.4 lx model, 3 owners, 76,000, all old mot certs, missed the 40k service but all the rest carried out, mot until feb 2018. Apart from the scratch down the drivers side it isn't in bad condition at all, and it's surprisingly nice to drive!

I changed the wiper blades for some aero ones on the front and it needs some standard wheel trims, but not going to spend unless I have to until mot time. I plan to carry out my own services on it so any help regarding the best oil (10w40 I assume) would be helpful...I know that Bosch super 4 are the recommended plugs, and several people have advised to buy a K and N panel filter purely because they are long lasting. My last car had a trip computer and recorded 59 mpg...using the 'brim the tank' method it proved fairly accurate, so I'll start doing that with this one as I'm curious as to what mpg it does.

They're nice little cars, I've got a 1.1 on a 03 plate and have had it for 10 years. Just coming up for 45K miles smile

No real problems over the years aside from usual consumables and the exhaust... The suspension is getting a little rattly and the right hand speaker has a mind of it's own.. It's very economical and boring but does the job.... Quite fancy replacing it with a comfy Volvo..
