Currently got a RS250 cup megane (daily drive).
Looking at getting a cheapish R26 as a (stripped out ish) maybe, track , weekend toy.
Im keeping the RS250, would it be worth getting an older car as the toy?
The R26 may or may not remain standard wink

Anyone ran both at same time?

Swapped from a RS265 to a modded, high mileage R26. The R26 is far more fun to drive as its small but has large windows and a low bonnet line making it easy to place on road/track. Mine had 113k on the clock, FSH, a ton of mods, no advisories on the MoT and cost £3500. Honestly there is nothing out there to offer that value and performance. Mine is mapped to 280 and that's more than enough. Parts cost nothing (mostly from other cars being broken for bits). Despite the mileage its very solid and the engine is super smooth, I guess thanks to previous owners looking after it. I'd buy one again if I ever sold mine.
