My New Alpine a110 premiere edition......
Discussion
Just returned from a six day road trip in the Black Forest Germany which was brilliant in the caterham & wall to wall sunshine helped.
This was my seventh time touring over to Germany with our small gang & the roads & scenery are of the highest standard, recommended!!
I hope one day to do the trip in an A110. I hoped I might see an Alpine in France but nothing.

I saw that at the time the Legende was announced - but only in one report. I haven't seen anything since and even at the time that convinced me it was true. I suspect there was confusion between a more comfort orientated specification and softer suspension. Alpine make big play about the specific difference between the S and the standard car - but don't differentiate between Pure and Legende.
I'm 4 weeks into ownership of my Pure and loving it so far. I have already put over 1700 miles on the clock but this did include a run down to Le Mans!
If anyone is looking for some genuine Alpine leather luggage designed to fit in the rear boot compartment I have a full set which I am planning to move on. The set consists of 1 "Weekender" travel bag and 2 smaller "Travel Kit" bags.
All three pieces are brand new, unused and come with all their original packaging.
If anyone is interested please drop me a PM.

Do they have 2 coolant tanks or are my eyes deceiving me from a YouTube video i saw

Yes, 2 expansion tanks, one at the left and one at the right of the engine bay. I think it is something to do with preventing airlocks as it is quite a complicated cooling loop (Very densely packed, and radiator, intercooler and heater to serve). Some of the early PE owners reported that one of the tanks on their cars always ran at minimum, but on my own Pure, both tanks have remained at nominal throughout the Provencal summer.
I think it was more to do with the pdi not being spot on....After the initial top up both tanks have remained at their levels (at least they have in my car)I'm still waiting for mine - deposit down last December. It's been sitting at the importer since May, and I can't take it until this December at a guess. Not risking it where I live now, and the new house is being refurbished.
I ordered one of the (very few) Pures with comfort seats - and 17s. Feels like a long way away at the mo...

Don’t judge the car whilst running in - it is a completely different car when the revs are available.
Even when running in I ran in Sport mode as I found normal a bit too reserved.
Enjoy
+1 - it's perfectly pleasant, but unremarkable, when running in, but only comes alive when you can give it some revs. You might discover what a good motorway cruiser it is - but motorways aren't the best places to run an engine in. As miserable git says Sport is probably best for running in - but keeping it below the specified 3500 revs in Sport requires concentration and a delicate right foot. In normal the box will allow the revs to drop lower than is desirable when running in.Even when running in I ran in Sport mode as I found normal a bit too reserved.
Enjoy
