Kudos for going titanium for the lightweight ethos. Perhaps further than a cheapskate like me would go! There is doubtless a market for a titanium exhaust.
It was more the colour than the weight, although every bit counts.

I got this special tool for removing the engine cover fasteners.
Fits perfectly and you can carry it around in your pocket. Best of all, only costs 20p.[url]

Looked incredible.

If daylight can get in it might be possible to use a solar panel on the windscreen connected to the battery. If it is in secure storage I’d be tempted to fit a battery isolator to then connect when it is being used. Should keep the battery going a little longer without the alarm drain etc.
Giving some more thought to MG's battery isolator suggestion this is what I had on one of my oldtimers a few years back - in the form of an 'engine-kill" switch which was hidden under the dashboard. It was a simple but very effective way of preventing the car from being driven away, as well as saving on the battery whenever the car was securely stored. Also, no need to pop the frunk and to unclip the plastic cover next to the window in order to access an isolator switch on the negative earth etc.

Given that A110s are often tracked I was wondering if anyone has set up an engine-kill switch for their Alpine under the dashboard somewhere?

Well I’ve just picked it back up from ALPINE Winchester.

Cracked screen replaced, no rattles from the door cards or anywhere else now. Fuse box was one cause and the door cards is already documented here so a lovely drove home.

I’ve also had the wide badges added as I think the car definitely looks better with them.

Missed the little thing and glad to give the Renault Kadjar courtesy car back lol

Great service from Adam a Alpine Winchester.

I was at Goodwood yesterday - as a passenger in my mate’s C43 - and got plenty of compliments about the A110...

Glad you got everything sorted, so you can now enjoy the car without the niggles.
New badges on the wings do look nice.

Thanks Martyn, they really did go the extra mile to try and sort them all. I have invested in a roll of felt tape and plan on tackling a few others lol.

This only highlights our local welsh roads are st mind. Smooth roads the car was a delight and it’s now a delight even on our moon like roads.

Has anyone got a view of how much the third year service is? I can't believe it needs an mot this year!

And is everyone going to take theirs back to the official dealer for the third service , the only issue for me is the distance otherwise I would be quite happy to.

I'm nearly due the second, but I certainly intend to have at least the first three at Winchester. It's a bit under an hour away and they've been excellent. After that, not so sure. The local garage that's 3 minutes away is very highly rated and has been brilliant with my other car...

Yes I'm intending to. Probably St Albans but could do London West. Both are about an hour away.

My experience with Alpine west London has been the complete opposite. They had the car for a week and didn't even get around to looking at any of the niggles. It went in to get a smart repair done on a couple of stone chips. Ended up looking even worse and now they can't fit me in for another month to fix the shoddy repair and look at all the squeaks and rattles. They won't be getting my business again once this saga is sorted. Mad thing is I'm closer to Winchester but didn't purchase my car from there.

I can’t rate Adam and the team enough. Everything was looked at and a 95% improvement. They cured my door card rattles and found another to be a fuse box loose.

Definitely worth trying them, super friendly too.

Why wouldn’t you take it to Winchester though for warranty work? You don’t have to have bought the car from them

And I have mine serviced in Manchester because I wasn’t happy with the customer service in Winchester!

My original experience with London West was very positive - the mechanic was very good, but they have been very poor in recent months. I have an outstanding paint issue which existed before Christmas which they STILL haven't scheduled in! I think it's fair enough to cut them a bit of slack due to Covid, but they ought to have got themselves sorted out by now.

I am trying to figure out some storage solutions. I bought some velcro cargo nets off Amazon to go behind the seats but they won't hold. After trying to read the translated french Alpine forums, apparently they have recently changed the carpets in the cars and so velcro no longer attaches, I thought this was just in the S, but seemingly doesn't work in my pure either. Anyone else come across this with a newer car and got any suggestions for decent alternatives or solutions? I am guessing this will also mean the official leather pouches to go down the sides of the seats no longer work?!
